Check out this place
http://www.thereidrooms.co.uk/weddings/

You hire the venue and accommodation if you want to. The whole place is yours and you have no other weddings going on either.

You get your own caters, bring your own drink for the day (no corkage charges)
you do you own decorations etc etc

Saves an absolute fortune and a easy place to deal with.

Mine was about your budget (Full bar paid for as well) i would say and it was a superb day everyone said.
I did however get divorced 2 years later, so it was one f**king expensive party!

Got married last year.. cost us 12k including 4k on the honeymoon to mexico

Langtons house on the platinum package on a sunday

they have since cut the numbers you can have and doubled the price!

think its like 4k now for 50 guests to get married in the small room then the hall is set up for your evening etc

we paid 2k for 80 guests

no corkage either as they are unlicensed so the caterer provided her son as bar staff and we just stocked up on booze when it was cheap deals at xmas etc

wifes still going through the wine now! we went home with so much booze

less than £500 to keep 80 guests in drinks all night

I'm getting married at Mulberry House in Ongar.

Would be within your budget provided you haven't got 120 day guests!

My wife runs the very beautiful memorial hall in South Woodford.

We had our reception there (she wasn't working at the venue then) and it worked well for us. Great space, 1902 original features and you can run your own bar/catering etc which cuts down on the cost.
