London Roof top bars for lunch

Postby cockney farmer on Thu Oct 12, 2017 7:41 pm

Bringing the missus up for Brighton game and staying over , got all day in London Saturday before train home and having done all the usual touristy stuff would fancy a nice pub for brunch/lunch , somewhere casual and not to prices but with decent views of our great capital , staying in Stratford so anywhere between there and Paddington would be great any suggestions ?

The cafe/bar a few floors up in the Tate Modern offers some inviting views of the river and City

I've been to the bar/restaurant at the Gherkin. Great views but very pricey. If you are going take your photo ID as you won't get in without it.

There is a pub not too long a walk from fenchurch street that had a rooftop area, I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called though. The mrs introduced me to it so I’ll ask her when I get in.

Edit: Remembered the name it’s three tuns on Jewry Street, they do sometimes close the roof top part as it gets colder but may be worthy a punt.

I don't think the sky garden is that expensive - fiver a pint and great view. Though you cannot sit outside and drink.
