Pancake Day

Postby DasNutNock on Tue Feb 13, 2018 10:09 am

What's everyone having? Apparently, I'm having "american pancakes" with bacon, fruits and berries for dinner. Sounds pretty damn good, quite frankly.

To be fair to the septics, they do a number of things better than we do:

- barbecue
- breakfast
- war memorials

Lemon and sugar only.

Mixing sweet and savoury is just wrong.

Septics can't even make pancakes right, they should be wafer thin like crepes not thick and stodgy.

And Dan, how hard was it for you not to right "pretty damn awesome"? :D

Can't argue with that.

I will no doubt be sprinkling sugar onto the piece of cardboard, that the wife produces tonight.

I'm going to have one this evening, we bought some 'Krusteaz' pancake mix yesterday from Costco

Going to add some dark choc chips/blueberries to the batter. Serve with banana and strawberries, maybe a spoon of Biscoff spread if I'm feeling wild

You'd describe lemon juice as sweet?

Got to say i have really got into bacon and pancakes, it is a very nice mix. Also agreed that the American style pancakes are much better.

However our bacon pisses all over their streaky strips of ****.

The best pancakes are American Style with crispy bacon and maple syrup.

For a sweet desserts its blueberry pancakes with lemon and sugar.

To confirm, crepes with lemon & sugar isn't dinner.

American pancakes with bacon, fruit & berries is dinner.

These sound rather nice:

No refined sugars there, and I suspect you could use actual milk in place of almond milk (whatever the f*ck that is).
