I quite often just use bananas and whole eggs for my pancakes.

1 banana + 2 whole eggs = a pancake. Easy, cheap, healthy.

Isn't that more of a banana omelette?

I'm not a big fan of American pancakes. I do enjoy a big crepe though, especially after my main course.

Made some at the weekend, bloody lovely.

However, for pancake day I will only be having thin pancakes covered in lemon and sugar.

Keep the pan as hot as you can and best to use coconut oil if you have it, lots of it.

Have you not tried those delicious sweet Spanish lemons then?

Why do you describe lemons as savoury when the definition is a food that is salty or spicy?

Pancakes made from just banana and egg are as good if not better than normal pancakes.

I've had sweet lemons, yes. You won't be getting them in your local Asda in february, though.

Right. So pasta and rice aren't savoury either, then? Potatoes are a sweet, yes? You'd describe an unseasoned roast chicken as sweet as well, I assume.

You will in Waitrose you tight fisted ****!

So you would describe a fruit as savoury then?

Depends on the fruit. Aubergine and courgettes being two of the obvious ones you wouldn't describe as sweet. Well, you might, but then you're mental.

No chance.

This is a country that does not recognise the existance of dippy eggs and soldiers. Or that insists on streaky bacon. Or basically covers every breakfast food in lashings of sugar.

That's not to say some of their breakfasts aren't good. Pancakes with maple syrup is nice.
