Re: the dinner thread
Thanks to Rottiel for putting the idea of having a curry in my head, I'm now about to order - Veg Dhansak (Bengali style - hotter and not sweet), 3 pompadours (one masala), 1 chapati and a sag bhagi and bombay potatoes! Soon to be washed down with Tequila and coke.

Re: the dinner thread
Last night we had homemade spicy Thai pork burgers with a rocket salad, they were superb.
Tonight a classic simple quick dinner, bangers and mash.
Tomorrow is Friday night special, home made chicken Madras with home made garlic naan.

About 20 kilometers inland (north) of Albufeira, there's both Chinese and Indian food supply stores there and a British overseas supermarket in Guia that sells Waitrose, Iceland and Sainsbury's products, as well as having a really good butchers, so getting ingredients and cooking good food is simple.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll be cooking chicken piri piri on the barbeque on Saturday.

Re: the dinner thread
Out in the sticks, near Sao Bartolomeu de Messines, very quiet and peaceful, 1.2 klms to the nearest road!
(But there is a dirt track), not everyone's cup of tea, goats and sheep for neighbour's, but we love it here.

Fennel seed, salt & pepper crusted pork shoulder (5 hours cooking), roast spuds, gravy from the roasting tray, cabbage, carrots, runner beans & peas. Marvellous.
