the dinner thread

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

I’ve ate far too much on holiday in France so far. We appear to need to have a 3 course meal no less than twice a day.

Well I call it mince in the oven.
Its just minced meat cooked with onion carrot mushroom and perhaps tomato, or what you would normally cook with minced meat. Once cooked transfer to dish using a slotted spoon and save gravy, top with sliced boiled potato and put in the oven, cook till sliced potatoes are crisp. Serve with veg of choice, reheat saved gravy and use if required. Optional serve with crusty bread to mop gravy up.

Spaghetti Puttanesca.

Honestly one of my favourite dinners. Cheap, quick and easy to make and bloody tasty.

Spaghetti alla puttanesca (pronounced [spaˈɡetti alla puttaˈneska]; literally "spaghetti in the style of a whore" in Italian) is an Italian pasta dish invented in Naples in the mid-20th century

\Wild Garlic Tagliatelle Verde, and mix veg, cashew nuts and currants cooked in a vegan cheese sauce. Nothing amazing but hit the spot with plenty left over for tomorrow.
