As a non-drinker (and therefore always designated driver):
Orange juice & Lemonade
Ribena & lemonade
Lemon squash
Earl or Lady Grey tea.

All lovely drinks.
Lemonade on it's own though, is awful, (especially diet). Doesn't quench your thirst at all; in fact, makes it worse, which is deliberate apparently, to make you drink/buy more.
Mind you, I think cola's the same.
Boring old Adam's Ale for me.

the overly sugary crap you can buy definitely does that.

but if you have actual lemons, squeeze those, shake with plenty of ice cubes and some mint leaves. it's great!

I don't drink alcohol for two months of each year - February and one other month.

In those months I drink pints of orange juice (with bits) mixed about 50/50 with diet tonic water.

I've found myself swerving lager more and more. Not because I don't like lager, but because most of what you get in pints in pubs is flat watery *****.

I love you , Monkeybubbles , you never fail to make me laugh .

Benylin with a Night Nurse top taken with a couple of Valium , lovely .

Since I gave up drinking around 9 years now I've gone through a variety of soft drinks in an attempt to find a replacement for the demon , finally settling for pints of Orange Juice & Lemonade .

I still visit pubs but it's rare these days , the number of hostelries that cannot get this simple combination right angers me on occasion - in my time I've received Orange Squash and Lemonade , Orange Juice & Water [ the piped lemonade had stopped working ] , something that tasted of weak lime and flat lemonade and yet I'm charged the same money as if I'd ordered a pint of premium lager [ hence the rare visits ] .

When I can be bothered I'll buy a bottle of Elderflower Cordial , such a lovely drink with fizzy water or lemonade .

I'm shocked at that, TOMoS.
I wonder if Trading Standards would take an interest on that?
£4 or £5 for a pint of beer or lager, is one thing.
To charge the same for a pint of soft drink, is quite another.

Couple of years back I ordered a pint of orange juice and lemonade for myself and my son asked for a pint of lemonade - I handed over a tenner and received less than £3 change - I too was shocked , Samba .

In fact I'm going to Plockton tonight , I may bring it up with them .

Didn't something change in the pricing of pub drinks , they had to be priced according to their alcoholic content or something ?

Diet Coke was originally designed to be the same as Coca-Cola, only sugar free.

However, Coca-Cola recognise that they taste very different - but there are a lot of people who like (or are used to) the flavour of Diet Coke.

So they've kept DC going whilst releasing Coke Zero to once again be the direct sugar-free equivalent to regular CC.

Also, DC is marketed more towards ladies and CZ more towards chaps.

Panache de Saint Omer is pretty decent for a hot summers day, just like a sweet shandy, 0.5%ish.

Also had my first cold brew coffee over ice which has made its way already into my top 10! Easier way to stay caffeinated in hot weather!

tastes completely different to me

growing up I only had diet coke.. dunno why parents just always got it .. full stuff tasted far too sweet when I tried it when I was like 18 because id had diet coke all my life.. never overly enjoyed it,, preferred lemonade however coke zero is a nice inbetween flavour .. for example if im out and its an "unlimited" soft drinks sort of deal always start with a coke zero now then move onto the hardcore lemonade lol
