I order soda and lime - but I'm frequently left feeling peeved at the price.

It's soda - which is on tap and practically free for them (they use it to clean things ffs!) - and a splash of lime cordial, the whole bottle of which must cost about 50p.

I've been charged £7.00 for a soda and lime before.

It was at a wedding venue, the soda was bottled (absolute con) and I'd ordered a pint of soda and lime.

So the charge must have been something like £3 per bottle of soda (they used two) and 50p per dash of lime.

I complained at the bar but it was only a young lad and he laughed it off awkwardly. I complained online to the venue afterwards, and they sent me a £20 Majestic voucher - so actually the soda and lime cost me -£13 eventually.

I was mighty p i s s e d off at the time.

It's got a bittersweet flavour, with a predominantly orange taste.
Best served very cold over ice.

I'm heading to Malta on Wednesday so I'll look out for this

I'm actually planning on brewing an alcohol free bitter at some point. Will take half of a standard batch, and remove the alcohol, in theory the only difference should be a lack of aroma, but taste wise they should be more or less the same.

If you are knocking around the Middle East this summer have a look out for Nenae ma’a Lemon (it's a Mint and Lemon drink). Its very refreshing and easy to make yourself. An Arnold Palmer (Ice tea and lemonade) is halfway decent too.

Absolutely lovely, the pair of them. I do love a big bottle of Curiosity Cola. I’ve tried similar ones such as Karma Cola (too lemony and not sweet enough) and Fever Tree Cola (similar, but again not as sweet). I find Curiosity Cola has the perfect mix of spice with a sweet Cola.
