Had to wear trousers today for the first time since May.

Can we have the sun back now?

Finally found the time to lay a few paving slabs in the garden yesterday, now it's pissed down so now not only can't I carry on but the ones that I've already laid may end up loose as well.........

Well, depending on where you are, back up to 25° tomorrow & going back up to 29°, next Fri & Sat.
Well into the middle of August, no lower than 26°, so this weekend looks like it's just a blip, albeit, quite welcome for many.
Worth remembering that the amazing summer of '76 was followed by the (usual) s***e summer of '77, so make the most of this one!

Went to the War & Peace Show in Paddock Wood and the weather was just perfect, sun shone but there was a lovely cooling breeze followed by a perfect nights sleep too.

and the temperatures for Toulouse are taken out of town. You can add 3 °C for the town centre where the buildings are made of the same bricks they use for pizza ovens, which radiate heat all evening.... I live in town, of course.

France gets unbelievably hot in the summer. I remember I used to go over regularly and every summer seemed to be hotter than the last. One year was particularly bad in the 2000s and there were hundreds of deaths due to the heat.

Massive thunderstorm this morning. Woke up around 5:30 to some serious rain and thunder/lightning. Thankfully had stopped by the time I left for work

Aren't many places, homes etc fully air conditioned?

I can't speak for you guys, but I saw a reporter asking Australians about the weather here and in a typically traditional Billy Big b*llocks But Utterly Thick set of responses, they were all of the opinion that this weather is cold and us silly poms should man up.

Difference is, our country is not equipped for such hot weather - we have houses, pubs and restaurants designed to keep the heat in, not out.

That's because the elderly are abandoned in summer. It's the French way of getting their inheritance sooner.

In my experience they're not. They just use the shutters and live with the b*stard heat.

This rain can **** off.

Pissed down Sunday and ruined a long planned family barbecue.

Rain yesterday when I took the boy to the fair.

Chucked it down this morning as I left for work.

Bring summer back.

We dont have air conditioning at work and it often gets up to over 30 in here. We can open the window, but some b*stard wasps have decided to build a nest in the tree outside. I really hope the pest bloke gets here before the temp goes up again otherwise we either die of heatstroke or get stung to death by the wasps who find it great fun coming in tooled up and causing havok.

Shat it down this morning but huge delays on GA into London which I was pre-warned about meant I could make myself a cuppa with two fried eggs on toast whilst watching the storm out the window whilst watching an episode of The Staircase on Netflix. Left the flat at 8:45am with the sun beaming down and back in my shorts for the commute 8-)

I don't sleep well in it so some days have been a real struggle. The pouring rain, deep cold or bad snow is far more of a pain...

It'd be nice on holiday where you have nothing to do but sit outside and drink San Miguel.
