I just set a PB for my ride home from work, taking a full minute off my previous best. Pissing sweat now, **** me it’s hot.

South Stack brings back very fond memories .

My Mam and Dad moved to Llangefni for the last 10 years of their lives - I grew up in Amlwch which has now gone very much down hill .

I used to go out with a girl from Holyhead so I knew the Bodfordd road like the back of my hand .

A mild 31 high today today in Nashville....80% humidity (how do I convert that ? :P ) Memphis is similar I seem to remember...only went there a couple of times through work but I understand both are fantastic places to live........(other than the weather)

Hot and steamy most of the time I think...as is pretty much the same for the whole of the southern states.......although I would guess if you are going up into the mountain areas it will be cooler...but I don't know too many places to sustain work up that way....

now me .....currently 9 moving up to 18...of course it is moving toward winter there but our temperatures don't change much, the rain differentiates the two seasons that we do have....wet or wetter...

back there in 2 weeks, cannot wait..one more week or camp here then offski....

Good tip we heard few years ago and have used ever since:

Open your loft hatch during hot weather.

We have had ours open for the last three weeks and it makes a big difference at night.

I was in Nashville last year in June and it was unpleasant. mid 90*s and very high humidity. You picked a hell of a place to move to if you dislike heat.

Even in Vermont it has been hot. My brother lives in Burlington Vt and he said last week the temp was in the 93* to 100* range all week. I think 97* is something like 36 ish C.

Not me, I'll stay in my fog bank here in SF until I can't afford it anymore, which shouldn't be much longer.

Anyone know the last time we had a summer like this? Bar the odd day it's been pretty nice since May, these last 3-4 weeks in particular, have been absolutely stunning.

I hadn't cut our grass for around 2-3 weeks as it wasn't growing so I went down to the garden [ it's on another level ] to find that next door's hens and two resident wild rabbits had scratched out the dry patches and made them bigger - I chased the hens out , took me about 15 minutes as they split up into groups and ran everywhere :) - I was hot , angry and pissed off at the state of our garden [ nothing that a few packets of grass seed won't put right ] - the hens were back the following day but they remembered me and ran off [ clever birds , hens ] .

Last night I had to pick up our boy from an 80s Dance in Broadford at 1am - it started raining , still raining today - had to open the bedroom window as it was still too hot despite the rain [ 6am ] , it's cooled down since - it's going to be cloudy at 19 degrees all next week .

A few years back , could have been 7-8 years ago we had 9 weeks of unbroken sunshine up here from April onwards , I thought it was going to happen every April , it didn't of course - this year has seen more weeks of sunshine dotted with a few days' rain , the heat has been unbearable at times .

At a party in a hall last night....like a furnace. 2 portable massive cooling units going like the clappers doing **** all.

Some dickhead had moved in across the road a year ago and then complained ever since about noise so the top windows to vent the place aren't allowed to be opened.

Don't move into a gaff opposite a community hall that has functions you stupid selfish plum.

Hanging today and sweating my balls off on the sofa. Not enjoyed it today but on the whole I love it.

Would kill for a massive f*** off thunderstorm this evening though.

London looking like a very reasonable 24/25°C on Tue/Wed, then going back up again.
No lower than 25 all the way up to the 21st of July, at least.
As Dan said, it's really starting to take on 1976 records..
It's difficult trying to get anything done when it's 30+ but then it's also difficult to get anywhere when it's deep snow outside. Both a rarity in London usually but both seen this year.
I'm trying not to complain as 'normal' summers are usually so bland & piss-poor & like it or not, this heat will come to an end, anyway.
Just be grateful that TOMoS's neighbours chickens are not scratching up your lawn, as well..

My cat would have TOMOS’s chickens plucked and gutted and lined up on the doorstep in 5 minutes, tops. Lethal wee b*stard, he is.

Ours likes pigeons, too, as the local RSPCA guy knows only too well.

Which is good, because pigeons are right c*nts.
