The Westfjords in Iceland. I drove an old van with Michael Jackson painted on the side around that whole area (and the rest of Iceland in fact).

Every horizon was another set of butterflies in the stomach. Never felt more alive.

Close to that I'd say was Alberta 93 in Canada. Basically the road from Banff to Jasper.

Another vote for Iceland.... This one taken on New Years Day, driving back from Gullfoss falls to Reykjavik. Can't wait to go back and see more.

Route 100 through Vermont is really nice, spent a nice day on a CBR1000 a few years back doing that and there are many terrific rides in New England. Alas sold my last bike this summer after 50 years of riding due to my bug***** back.
Sigh.

The drive from Winter Park, Colorado to Aspen was pretty good.

Sorry to take the thread slightly off piste...Whilst by absolutely no means the best, Bangkok to Siem Reap in a cramped mini bus including a walk through "no mans land" between borders will always be my most memorable.

A82 / in Scotland is a gorgeous drive too.

Did this a couple weeks back for the first time in years, always take the A9, but had gone as far as Drumnadrochit so kept on going. An absolutely stunning drive. Lived in the Highlands for over 20 years, and still don't think I have ever seen Glen Coe in anything but mist.

The North Coast 500 seems to be really popular now, some incredibly scenery throughout.

Used to do the M4 (South Africa) twice a day from Durban North to Kings Park and back for training. Absolutely loved that drive. How I miss the sunny shores of Durban.

Riga to Tallinn,

Amazing drive (or used to be), Gulf of Riga to one side pine forests to the other, shame I never managed to capture any pictures.

The Ford ride and handling track in Lommel being driven by Jackie Stewart. He went into every bend 20 mph faster than my sphincter would have allowed me to do and the tyres made no noise whatsoever.

It was the day I realized that I wasn't very good at driving despite being a ride and handling development engineer and doing it for a living.

To be fair, most people are going to compare unfavourably with a 3-time World Champion :)

Couple of years ago Me and MrsPH drove to Venice, through Germany and Austria. Fantastic drive, views and lovely places to stop off for breaks.

The roads in Majorca are great as well, plenty of breathtaking views but don't try it in anything under a 1.6 and watch out for bikes!

As for what it's worth, the average European is a better driver then us Brits, they don't f**k about on the motorways.

I really like driving there, it's beautiful, but all the twisty turn stuff is exhausting.

We were going to buy a place in Fornalutx, but Brexit got in the way a bit.

The Col Du Galibier in the French Alps is a nice drive...especially in a thunderstorm.
