Doing a Spurs

Postby snooperpooper on Wed Sep 19, 2018 11:46 am

As they continue to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory should the word spurs become an action verb that expresses physical or mental action in it's own right, in this case continually losing the lead.

Would be nice to compile some spurs type situations here for them to read, I'll go first.

People in glasshouses...

Yeah, must be **** all those semi finals, top 4 finishes, European away days, and a shiny, spanking new FOOTBALL stadium to look forward to.

I'd rather be in their shoes any day of the week.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way!

Some of our lot are obsessed with Tottenham these days, something they used to be accused of re Arsenal. All a bit embarrassing really.

Spurs are like an old man's sex life. Can get to a semi and then lose it!

In terms of what they have achieved in the last 10+ years they are the model we should be looking to follow.

I would love to laugh at them but the truth is otherwise.

I can't believe what I'm reading. There's plenty of tickets at Wembley every week if you think they're so great?

Yes they're better than us but as a club they're vermin. Their fans are the worst you'll ever meet, they have a self inflated sense of class and achievement.

They may have come 2nd, reached Semis, etc but in their deluded minds that's where they think they should always have been. They're not enjoying the ride, they're still expecting more.

That sums up their club.

Utter c*nts.

They''ll be coming to a crossroads very soon. If they finish outside the top 4 and don't win anything this year i can see some players getting itchy feet. Erikson for example will have the likes of Madrid sniffing round. Lloris may consider his options.

To see it all crash around them and some of their top players leave would be heartbreaking :D Mind you, Levy would get absolute top dollar for them. There's no doubting that.

I think 'Spursy' should be added to the dictionary.
Definition: To have the unenviable ability to promise much, but fall at the final hurdle. (They are a bit spursy)

They've achieved naff all. The Newcastle United of the 2010's

The only thing I admire about them is the new stadium.....when it eventually opens.

Top 4 finish and semi finals are not success....unless you support Spurs of course.

Quite. I can't ****ing stand them, but I'd much rather be where they are than where we are right now - and we're certainly in no position to take the piss.

Go and buy a ticket at Wembley I ask you...shove it up your arse, Billy.
