Samba - I'm just doing the same amount of walking as usual. I was quite ill over Christmas with a cold or flu (probably just a cold), I lost a fair amount of weight as I lost my appetite and had a couple of days of being sick.

DrVenk, thanks and it looks like I'm off to the GP again.

Sorry to hear that, mate.
That was me, last Christmas. I appreciated losing the weight but it went straight back on, afterwards...
Don't know about you but it made me feel very, very low in mood, really down. Physical illness always does, for me.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hello Ted

My dad got diagnosed with CLL in 2004. They checked his white blood cells every three months and didn’t need to start treating him with drugs until 2017. He’s on something called Imbruvica now (ibrutinib) and that’s got his white blood cells down to normal and he feels great. It makes him bruise a bit easily but apart from that no side effects. First few doses gave him the shits a bit but that passed.

Take it easy

Thanks Burningsham, it will probably be a cold or flue that kills me.
You feel sorry for yourself mate, I would

Also thanks Rover's, wow your dad still going after all this time that has lifted me.

All the best

Not half as bad as some on here but here's my list of ailments, not including mental!

High cholesterol for a while now. Tried to keep it down with healthy eating and a bit of exercise, it's staying at a good (if high) level.

Five years ago, went into the hospital with a weird feeling in my chest. Had an angiogram and found out I have a thinning of one of my arteries. No surprise really, we have heart disease in the family.

Recently been having my blood pressure taken, as it's been a little high. Probably all linked.

I've got high cholestrol. I'm making a concerted effort right now to lower it. I really don't want to go on the drugs for the rest of my life.

What have you done to lower it?

Well bugger me. Shy Ted's problems have made my farmers' playing up look ridiculously insignificant in comparison.
