Christmas gift ideas

What's the best present you got? Or gave? Or saw or heard about?

And has anyone got any good ideas for smaller presents?

My contribution: everyone likes kites.

And I like rum.

13 years old a 'Top Twenty' electric guitar. Based on a Stratocaster. Found out it was 25 quid, not inconsiderable in 1972. Went apeshit on Christmas morning and used it for several years. Already had an old one-speaker valve amp (smelled terrible when it got hot) into which I had previously plugged an acoustic with a very old taped-on microphone. I didn't turn out to be Eric Clapton.

I think '66 or '67 was my best Christmas ever , I got loads of excellent presents that year amongst them a Johnny Seven and a drum kit .

Worst Christmas ? Being stuck on a life support machine having suffered multiple organ failure back in 2012 . :)

No money will change hands, but you'll pay a higher price than you could ever imagine.

Socks. I want normal, comfortable socks. I require nothing else.

I got my wife a car last year. That was good. Won't be happening again though. I always think a nice trip is a great gift. Doesn't have to be over the top. Just well thought through.
