Years ago I did this, everytime I wanted a fag I'd have a satsuma, then the shops stopped selling them and I was back on the fags.

Been vapping now for over a year and half. Can't recommend it more.
Don't even fancy a fag and even when I've had to resort to smoking I've found it quite unpleasant.
Good luck with giving I up.

I'm concerned I'm not smoking enough. I generally only have a few roll ups when I'm drinking, and I've stoppd drinking for the forseeable. My baccy's going to go dry isn't it?

I didn’t want to replace it with something else. Been smoking since I was about 11 and I’m 50 now.

I've smoked the grand total of half a cigarette in my life (tho quite a lot of weed) so I'm hardly the authority on this but.....2 mates went down the hypno route. One has not smoked since, the other walked out of the hypnotherapist's office and lit up without even realising. Went back and complained so got another session booked (free of charge of course), second round didn't smoke since. Certainly the route I'd be taking.

I smoked for 24 years, tried everything to give up with no success. Then I tried vaping and have not had a cigarette for three years. There are two ways to vape, mouth to lung and direct to lung. Essentially mouth to lung replicated the act of smoking, so you draw vapour into your mouth and then inhale it. It's that bit that tricks the brain into thinking you are still smoking.

If you can do that for a week you will never go back to the fags. Then it's up to you if you want to progress to direct to lung vaping (which is where the massive clouds of vapour come from) It's still an unknown quantity, but the only real concern seems to be the possible effect of inhaling food colouring. Got to be better than cyanide, bleach and tar though.

And stay off the nicotine flavour juices, they are awful. If you have a sweet tooth you are laughing. Good luck Mr Leg Sir!!

You could try patches but as I have discovered, they're not a patch on smoking

How do you get your hands on that? I've been thinking that I am drinking too much and this may well reduce the number of units I drink in a week.

Been vaping for nearly 2 years and I feel much healthier and better off in the pocket. I’m sure vaping isn’t health risk free but I’ve notices I’m much fitter now, used to constantly come off playing 7 aside every 10 mins and now get through the whole game and just in general feel better for it. I treat myself to a weekend on the fags when I go Benidorm once a year but besides that I’m never really tempted, I couldn’t recommend it more as I know I would never be able to give up completely as I love a smoke/vape when I have a pint which is now also down to once a week, I’m getting boring in my old age!

Ooh, I'd start vaping if I could get some good old THC.

Although I presume that'd show up in a drug test and would stay in my system as long as smoking a spliff would?

Christ it's been a long time since I had some weed.

It goes for £40-£50 a bottle and it will last you about a month

Cirro 2. Heissenberger (mix of menthol, berries and aniseed) liquid 18mg. Bloody love the stuff. Gave up smoking 11 years ago. Started vaping 2 years ago. Makes no sense but hey ho. Use 10 Motives website for all the kit. Highly recommend it, never without it tbf. Yet to be spotted by the stewards either....

To me, people seem to Vape not to use it as step to eventually quitting, but to carry on smoking.

I can't remember who it was, but the advice to go from 15, to 12, to 9 etc until you get to none makes the most sense to me. Each to their own though of course and good luck with it DL whatever you decide.
