A new take on a dating app. Rather than swipe right or left just on a person's picture you pick a restaurant/activity and then other people who want to go there pop up.

Added level, the option of choosing to match as a date or just someone to go with so you're not on your Todd. Can have a split bill option in there for that too. Get a few gaffs interested and offer some deals, jobs a gooden.

That’s actually a good idea.

Better than that mate, a very attractive baby/toddler rental service for single men. You can make money on both sides of the transaction: the parents pay you for a couple of hours peace and quiet and the bloke pays you to let him play at dad while single mothers throw themselves at him. A few quid for a background check and a bit of security in case Gary Glitter signs up and you're quids in.

Actually, there's loads of variation on this theme. You could have Rent-A-Mate for people who don't make friends very easily but need someone to go drinking with; Rent-A-Date for people who need someone to take to the Christmas party. Adultwork has already been done :D

A woman in my company bought a bulldog puppy a while back. One day I had to go into town with her on an errand, and she took the dog with us. Every 25 yards we'd get stopped by a woman goo gooing over the mutt. It was unbelievable. Just a magnet for female attention.

So you rent out the dogs at say £30 for 2 hours. Money back if you don't get a number, which will never happen, so no refunds to worry about.

Max 3 bookings per day for a dog, so £90 a day for doing nothing. The dogs get exercised and lots of attention so no maintenance.

I'll need the Dragons to help me build a fleet of hounds and set up the kennels etc, plus a website. Say 500 dogs spread over the country.

That's £45000 a day income. £315000 per week.

It's just a stone cold cert. The Dragons will be physically wrestling each other to get a 25% stake in such a winning idea. Debroah Meaden will be smacking Peter Jones wit her chair to stop him undercutting her offer.

I'm a genius.

The dog thing is certainly a potential winner. When our dog was a puppy I was stopped all the time, and even as an adult dog, when I lived in Notting Hill, I was forever being stopped by attractive young tourists asking for directions to 'Hugh Grant's House' or the Travel bookshop, and/or being asked to take photos, as it looked like I must be a local as I was walking the dog. Most of the friends we made in the area were through dog ownership one way or another too.

I did have an idea a few years ago when I lived in SE London, in the pre-Uber and Gett app days, of an online taxi service that helped you hook up for a lift with a black cab driver that was on his way home after a shift as you could never normally get one to take you there without a lot of begging or extortionate cost, even though every other driveway seemed to have a black cab parked in it.

When sat-navs first came out I realised then how totally redundant that then made people, 'doing the knowledge'.
I did f**k all about it...unlike Uber..

Nah, I've checked your link. That business site is all about people who want to share and own doggies.

My version is purely an aid to getting your nuts in.

Things I saw on a daily basis as being inadequate, or not quite fit for purpose. I've had a couple of corkers, even started building a prototype for one idea, but then (due to being on the weed at the time) gave it up as couldn't be bothered with it any longer.

The one I started to work on was 240v - 110v portable site transformers, had one left over from a job I'd been on and started to strip it down and look at making it more user friendly.
Anyone who has had to lug these around will know what I mean. I even started to fit the component parts together into a better type/more user friendly of case, basically boxes of different sizes and shapes. To see what would be more ergonomic and less painful to carry.

I looked into something that would replace wooden steps, as they were a bitch to carry and obviously aluminium was conductive, so was no good on site. But knew/know nothing about plastics, so this came to an end and this was back in the late 90’s, early 00’s, so no fibreglass steps back then that I was aware of.

I also looked into workwear, was sick of ruining jeans with screwdrivers poking through pockets, ripped and sore knees, started getting ex-army surplus cargo type trousers, but they weren’t quite what I was looking for, looked at combining those cargo pants with chippies belt type attachments. But I got a new job and moved to the office side of things so gave that up.

Now all of these are big business for companies, gutted, fook yes. If I’d carried on with even one of these ideas, I’d probably done ok out of it.. :(

I always thought of a service that helps commuters get to work conveniently and in a timely, reliable, comfortable and extremely affordable manner. To my knowledge this does not exist.

I had an idea at uni to build an ironing board that can fold open so you can ironing a shirt or top in one go, without having to keep shifting it round bit by bit thus creasing it. Kind of just forgot about it but I'm sure is a viable idea?.

Second idea was about 15 years ago to create an umbrella vending machine (2 quid a pop, using cheap poundshop umbrellas). I believe this has actually come out in Japan and other countries now.

Opening somewhere in central London where you can have a 30/45-minute power nap on your lunch break.

I was so sick of getting up early, working like a bitch in a stuffy office, then getting trains home that were then always delayed. A little power nap would have probably helped.

You'd just have to figure out how to keep couples out of the pods/recliners/sofas whatever else the facility had to sleep on.

I work from home now and just use my own bed. It's great.

Did they get the investment for the umbrella vending machine? I was about 12 at the time so doubt I could have scrapped enough together!

I have recently invented an acid so powerful that it will burn through anything.

I need Dragons' backing to fund a business plan and marketing campaign.

I'm also struggling to find anything to keep the acid in.

When I was a just a boy, which was a very long time ago, I remember watching a tennis match at Wimbledon, on Centre court, get rained off. When I went to bed that night, I thought why don't they invent a retractable, sliding roof to cover football stadiums, for when it rains ? I did absolutely nothing about it, didn't even draw up a single plan, because:-

a) I never was any good at art
b) I hadn't the faintest notion how it would work, other than it would slide out of both ends of the stadium roof, slide towards the centre and join up in the middle and would eventually, cover the entire pitch
c) I thought it can't be as simple as that, otherwise somebody else would have thought of it
d) As regards patenting, I was only about 11 years old at the time and didn't even think you had to patent an idea

#.. but imagine if I had ?....... as about 40 years later, somebody did
