Once you get in to it, there's a few features that are quite handy, such as lens correction and the like.Metal Hammer wrote:BTW thanks to Dyers for the tip on Luminar. I've mislaid my old copy of Photoshop Elements 8 so am quite enjoying Luminar now

It's been a while, and it would also be a shame for this thread to drop off the forum, so a few I took recently...
Plus it's a chance to show off my new 17 - 85mm Canon lens the in-laws bought me as a returning to work prezzie

The kit lens I've been using up until now was 17-55mm - the new one is 17-85mm. The previous lens was pretty good, but this one is a different ball game altogether. It's like having a new camera. The Old Man of Storr wrote: That's a good lens is the 17-55mm .

Re: KUMB Amateur Photography Thread 2019
Apologies , 17-85mm .
They do say it's all down to the lens -
I've never been in the position to buy a truly great lens , my best is probably the Tamron 90mm DI USD VC but it's a specialist macro lens really although it can be used as a portrait lens .
When I get enough money behind me [ when being the operative word ] I'm going to look at the Tamron 70-200mm G2 , 15-30mm G2 and the 24-70mm G2 . In that order .
Then upgrade to a full frame Nikon - D750 or D810 - if a lottery win came along and if rumours are to be believed , a Nikon Z8 [ using the Sony 60 mp sensor ] .
I can dream .

It would be very unseemly of you (or anyone else) to do so.

I'm not gonna lie, the thought did cross my mind - guess it would be acceptable if I made them look artistic
