I see the Doctor has given him a clean bill of health.
Wait for the Dr’s credentials to be questioned......oh, unless he was a Russian Dr !

Re: Trump
Well, it already is interesting. The Special Counsel's subpoena was actually issues a couple weeks ago but only reported on yesterday. It pre-dates the release of the Wolff book, so there was something there that led to it other than Bannon's quotes in the book. While the OSC has issued an assortment of subpoenas to date, this is the first one of a senior level individual in either the campaign or the Administration - all the others who have been called in have had informal meetings with prosecutors and investigators in their office, not had the grand jury treatment. Nobody on the outside knows why they've taken this route with Bannon.York Ham(mer) wrote:Mueller subpoenas Steve Bannon to testify before grand jury. This could be interesting.
Sloppy Steve also had an interesting day yesterday, testifying before a closed door session of the House Intelligence Committee. Of the 4 congressional committees investigating the Rusha matter, this one has far and away been the most partisan. Yet both sides were pretty livid yesterday when Bannon refused to discuss anything to do with the transition or his time in the Administration, citing the White House's invoking executive privilege on those matters. Bannon was subpoenaed on the spot but still refused despite testifying for over 9 hours. Word is that Bannon will fully cooperate with OSC but the Trump folks are citing a separation of powers issue when it comes to sharing with Congress. I'm not conversant on these matters but don't think the privilege can cover a formal subpoena but we will find out soon enough as Bannon is supposed to continue his appearance before the Committee tomorrow.

Twitter has been producing some funny size comparisons between the6'3" 235lb uber Trump and athletes of the same size. Made me chuckle at any rate.

Agreed on the fat shaming double standards.
It's embarrassing really, people seem to be going out of their way to find ways to ridicule the bloke of late. As if he needs help on that front.

Ah yes, a brolly photo.. it’s a right of passage for the modern day President. Obama had one too, his marine umbrella photo. It’s an official performance metric these days.delbert wrote:Google Trump Umbrella to see how ridiculous the media campaign against him can be......

The fat shaming is unnecessary and not especially helpful in keeping the discussion about his presidency substantive.fmgod wrote:The thing is though the same people fat shaming him on Twitter are then the ones that would go mental if someone else fat shamed someone else.
However, let's also remember that this is the guy who dismissed sexual assault allegations because the victims weren't hot enough.
Presumably the porn actresses and playboy models who were paid off to keep silent about Trump's infidelity with them are of a sufficient standard of beauty for our proto-stud president, he of the reported decidedly-average performance between the sheets.

Re: Trump
US federal government likely to shut down tomorrow because a deal on funding cannot be reached. Numerous Republican members of congress citing the President's inability to offer a clear and consistent position on critical issues. Twice now bipartisan deals have fallen apart by Trump undermining agreements by tweeting out positions contrary to what he had previously said he would support. The supposedly great dealmaker showing once again that he is in over his head.

Re: Trump
As with the Brexit campaign. The far-left are undermining everyone else on this one. Trump is in his 70's and not in terrible shape. I hate how he has referred to (mainly women) as cows, fat etc. But chucking those insults back at him is counter-productive.
Having said that, I've seen a lot of left-leaning media saying just that. That the body image stuff is not important (especially when he's coming out with such nonsense on a daily basis).
Sadly though, when a handful of lefties take the piss - anyone who describes themselves as left-leaning get dragged in. Just as the right does and just as happened with Brexit,.
As with seemingly most things these days, there seems to be a tiny percentage at either end of the spectrum with extreme views, and anyone who happens to stand on the same side of the fence as them is labelled a nutter.
Not helpful.
Having said that, I don't believe he's 17 stone. I'm 16 stone and Trump's got 4 inches and a lot of timber on me. As I say though, he's in his 70's and has lived the high life. Is it a big deal?
