2005 - This is just the most fantastic opportunity to do everything we ever dreamed of in British sport. A momentous day. Etc etc
2012 - 18,000 troops on the streets

It will be painful to start, I don't doubt that for one minute, but I stand by the fact that Europe need us as much as we need them. Too much money at stake on both sides, deals will get sorted and quickly if we stand firm and go hard Brexit.

If we do go hard Brexit and Europe make it difficult, then we retaliate, twice as hard.
Which should have been the starting position taken by our traitorous leaders, instead we've gone from:-

Negotiations
Obama's interference
Carney showing his true colours
Nadira's Inveiglement
Shortage of food
Kent a car park
Shortage of drugs
The most traiterous 'deal' ever proposed by a traiterous leadership
Carney showing his true colours again

and now we have gone full blown 'Lenny Bruce is not afraid'

All the time with the EU laughing at us and demanding everything whilst conceading nothing.

May's deal can not go ahead. It time to get tough people. The EU will roll over they just have to face an opposition that looks like they actually mean it and not the (cross party) gutless careerist politians facing them.

If nothing else, it'll put the Irish border problem firmly in the EU and the Republic of Ireland's court.

I'm struggling to do any more than simply shake my head at the whole lot of them.

What the hell is Corbyn doing? Either raise a confidence motion or don't - it's quite simple, if you can't get more than half of parliament to back you then don't bother. The way he's performing even if a GE was somehow forced I wouldn't fancy him to win against May.

Has British politics ever been in a more sorry state?

I've just had another look at the voting map from 2016.

Take out Scotland and Northern Ireland and the overwhelming majority of constituencies voted leave. Those two areas had a different agenda.

Exclude London and, the ghp was far wider than a 52/48 split.

I wonder if the idiots in Brussels have grasped the true depth of feeling towards them.

Here you go.

"to entice, lure, or ensnare by flattery or artful talk or inducements (usually followed by into ): to inveigle a person into playing bridge. to acquire, win, or obtain by beguiling talk or methods (usually followed by from or away ): to inveigle a theater pass from a person".

According to google.

The next GE could be between Boris and Corbyn.

Can you imagine anything more appalling?

Probably not, they're not learning lessons either.
Cameron went to them and they stuck two fingers up to him, we ended up having the referendum. May has gone to them, they've done the same to her, will that lead to a no deal exit?

"Take out huge swathes of the population and the result would be different." Moronic.

Can we discount votes of anyone 50+ next go around?

Haven't been through the links but the titles suggest there is zero advice to UK citizens living and working in the EU.

Good to see it's not just immigrants to this country that the tories want to be hostile to.

There was a valid point in Pinkies post but under our voting system everyone counts.

Unless you just don't like the result ?

I've changed my mind. I like Pinky's game.

Let's take out the uneducated and the poor.

I see Corbyn has somehow managed to shoot himself in the foot again in PMQs today.

The literal political equivalent of spurning 2 open goals in a row.

So basically, remove a quarter of the population of this country to prove a point?

Good to see the tories giving him **** for it.

I assume they were all too busy to give comment last week when the whip was restored to two of their mates when one of them is still under police investigation for sexual assault, and the other was suspended for harassing several women?

..and they've forgotten when Cameron condescended toward a female MP with his "calm down dear" jibe or when Ken Clarke called May a "bloody difficult woman".

Honestly the whole yah boo sucks nature of British politics is embarrassing. Corbyn says he tries to avoid personal insults but faced with the constant sneering from both Cameron and May across the despatch box I'd have used worse language than Corbyn by now.
