Green 8 - Kept us in the game made some fantastic saves, especially the one when Ebanks - Blake was through on goal.
Faubert 7 - Showed why some of us said he could still be a good player for us, he isn't the best defensively, but some of his passing was top notch today.
Collins 6 - Was pretty solid, but made some shocking passes
Upson 7 - Solid and bagged a goal that put the pressure off.
Ilunga 7 - Made some wonderful long passes, could have scored.
Noble 8 MOTM - Absolutely cracking goal, he should shoot more often, he clearly has the ability. Was at the center of our creative play, he set up Cole with a lovely little chip over the defense.
Parker 7 - Typical performance from Parker closed down everything and did get forward a few times.
Collison 7 - Could/Should have scored, seemed calm and confident on the ball. (execpt when he was 3 yards from goal  )
Dyer 8 - Considering all the problems he's had he played very well, looked full of energy and always involved.
Jimenez 8 - Can't believe how well he's settled, a few predicted that he'd find it hard in the premiership, but he linked up well with Dyer and Cole, will be a key player for us.
Cole 7 - Fantastic hold up play as usual but didn't test the keeper very often, if at all.

Wolves had their chances, but met Green on top of his game. They have a Serbian in their line up, Milijas, exactly the player we lack. He was everywhere and at the heart of all their play. Having said that we looked good. Noble excellent all game and scored a cracking goal to boot. Cole was excellent upfront, even though he limped throughout. Defence in the middle was solid. Faubert might not be the full back we hoped for, but he played well today. Green, MOTM for me – he made several saves at crucial times. Good start to the season.

Did anyone else just hear Merson single Faubert out as our best player, "Just kept going and going down the right hand side today, superb".,.,,

I thought he played well but maybe not superb

Good game though. Chuffed with 3 points. Roll on next week.

He'll probably get slagged off on here though. He looked a bit lightweight. His heart's still at Chelsea. Didn't look interested.

Also, regarding Faubert, he looked absolutely made up when we scored. Really celebrated, a la Behrami.

A job very well done.

I do worry about Faubert as a right back though....his concentration and care on the ball is sadly lacking.
