Just watched the highlights pinky, they had about 4 1v1's in the second half.

Do you still think we were the better team second half  ?

He cost them like £2m and was well worth a punt, he could still turn out to be good.

Yes .From memory , hit the post , worked the keeper twice with headers , and one cleared off the line by a defender .

They had one great opportunity to score a fourth .

Perhaps I'll save myself the bother of going in future and just watch the highlights.......they're always reflective aren't they .

They could of been four up in twenty minutes one pass went miles across the goal and Sturridge missed by inches then Petrov should of scored near the penalty spot.

You're right Pinky, highlights can be deceiving, but there's one thing they always show, the goals. Bolton scored three of them, we scored none.

First half: Davies missed a "sitter" think Green actually got a foot to it but a goal kick was awarded.

Second half:Think Sturridge missed two dragging the ball across the keeper, tried to lob Green only to fail and Klasnic was desperately close with one across the front of the goal.....Sturridge also tried to hit one with his left when the right was a better option...

Think that was about 4-5 chances in the second half, the stream was a bit dodgy, think Elmander also missed a good chance. Although not working Green (oh yeah didn't a ball almost drop in at the far post and Green had to palm it away for a corner?) they had more chances in total, but we were on target more. Oh and that cross that Green made a right pig's ear of palming it almost into a crowd of Bolton players. So yeah we outplayed them 2nd half alright.

Sorry mate...but everyone else i know thought we were lucky to lose 3-0 !?

The tinkering with a winning team (aprt from last week) was a bad move by Grant IMHO.

Had to fill the midfield and put Ba upfront...yet he gives the Paddy a run

Tactically wrong...and overun in the middle of the park.

Just back, feel gutted, team were very poor, I am not sure whats worst Avram going 4-3-3 or the team not being up for this game.

We was so poor that it sucked any energy out of the fans.

Positive about the match, hmmmm well got away from Bolton okay as parked in a companies car park.

It wasn't a sitter the angle wasn't brillant and yeah Green knew it was a corner, he didn't even appeal for the goal kick.

Get ready for the **** fest over Sturridge, tbh Clive Mendonca could of scored six past us today

The one where they tried to lob Green was just being flash, he could of easily slotted it home. Tbh Green had no defence infront of him all match,

Second half Bolton sat back comfortably knew they could afford to concede a goal and knew if they wanted to they could knock a few more past us if they wanted to, Cole didn't livened things up though and Jacobsen was more solid at RB

I was stuck on a boiling hot coach for almost 90mins on a grid-locked motorway so only had the pleasure of getting into the ground today at around 3.30pm.

By that time we were two down and were looking really poor.

2nd half we played pretty well and almost scored from the kick off - Cole had a shot saved but it was given as a marginal offside.

We then carried on creating a few opportunities before Sturridge broke up the other end against the run of play to make it 3-0 and basically put us to the sword.

We still looked the better team after that - great save from a Ba header, Ba turn and shot hit the post, a few Da Costa headers, loads of corners etc etc, Keane was stepping up to the plate and had a good game and looks fully fit now.

I'd agree with Pinky on the better team second half topic but not on his crazy assertion on Grant leaving next week...

I can't work out today if it was Grant or the players.

Why did he set up 433 with the front 3 comprised of 3 strikers?

Was he expecting Robbie Keane and Piq to chase back and help the full backs?

If this was agreed, set up and the players understood then why didn't they put in the ****ing effort?

Maybe but his movement was good and you could at least see what he was trying to do when he got the ball, plus his head didn't drop which will be important in the relegation run in.

Piq and Ba were lucky buggers today not even chasing the balls back to the goal keeper, putting pressure on the defence and chasing back a few times.

That is an expression, but not the one i wanted...what i was getting at was Bolton should have got more. 2nd half they put their feet up and took us out on the break...or at least should of.

Yes...we had a chance before they scored but after that it was all the home team. That is not good enough in our position and the form we were in.

We made them look like Manure...and we needed at least a point.

We cannot moan if we get relegated after a display like that...
