Would have no problem with that. The 4-5-1 with Noble playing instead of Piq could work as long as Nolan, Parker and Noble all agree on which roles they should be playing. Against Cardiff they all seemed to be doing the same thing at the same time.

The classic 4-4-2 is very outdated now imo. Most successful teams play one up with one just in behind, either from centre mid or cutting in off the wings. As said before, Newcastle were very successful using Nolan in this role and we should be looking to do the same.

Maybe a bit hard on Reid as have been so impressed with the guy but we need Faye playing, take Ilunga out of the firing line for Linda who will be a man on a mission.
Play Collison he is the most gifted/tricky midfielder we have who has that eye for a pass, uptop it's Cole or Piq both can be unplayable & both can be terrible, it's the lotto with these two.
Best suggestion I've read yet. Really surprised by the amount of people leaving Collison out of the team; the guy needs to pick up his playing time so we can see him start hiting his potential. As you say bobo, he's the 'trickiest' midfielder we have. Not sure I'd kick Reid out of the starting line-up just yet though. Had a decenet game on Sunday and done nothing to suggest that he was out of his depth. Lets give him a good run in the team.

Is it just me or is this the most depressing Match Thread title for a while?
Still, be nice to chalk off a new ground.

Green
O'Neil Reid Tomkins Illunga (I think Reid and Tomkins were a good partnership, might as well give Faye another week)
Collison Noble Parker Taylor (flat as anything I know, but with Barrera likely unfit I think they can dominate in the middle) Nolan (Stay forward this time) Cole
subs- Boffin Faye Barrera Stanislas Piquonne

The OS refers to the internationals so I don't think Barerra will be there... Also no Macca or Carew

A bit surprised with all the hype about McCartney. Yes he was a good player a couple of years back, but he has lost form, hardly played, lost discipline and fitness. I think he needs a good few weeks to gain atleast some of that back.
As for the game, it shan't be easy, this is every teams cup final, so as usual they will be well up for it, however there squad is crap even with the better players (and even they are injured) so in all honesty we should win this one reasonably comfortably.
My team =
Green
O'Brien Reid Tomkins Ilunga
Sears Collison Noble Nolan Taylor
Cole
Verdict: Doncaster Rovers 1 - 3 West Ham United (goals by: Coppinger, Nolan, Cole, Sears)

We're off in the 'Toad Brewery' before the game on Saturday, got some good ales on apparently. Any more Kumbers off there?

To be honest mate, we're not working off of any exact position. Just been told 2mins from the ground so I suppose we'll aimlessly skulk about until we come across it. Hope this helps.

As you come of the motorway you will eventually come to a second roundabout and then you will see a kfc pizza hut and shopping outlet so go straight over and its just on your left hand side, about 100 yards from the ground
