That could be the end result.

I would imagine in that instance Spence would be a good shout or Potts, surely they are as good as Pogz

This game has lost it's edge since Jack announced "Bright Colours Day".

Probably a good idea as it will be freezing, pelting rain with storm force winds and possible hail.

Pity summer is over.

Think the players who have played so well this season deserve their game to get the crowd's end of season send off

Think every single one of the players in the last few games bar jussi and collins owes something of a performance

Let's hope it's not a flat finale

Personally I'd rather have a defender on the bench.

I would too and that's why I'd have Potts on the bench over Pogatetz. Hall and Morrison were just examples and I'd have a youthful bench.

Christ I'd rather have that young Chambers lad on the bench rather than Pog! Wouldn't you? Really do not see the point in that bloke being on the bench when we have worthy replacements for him in our youth systems. These are players who want to make their mark for the club and not buggering off elsewhere in the summer. (Obviously it's not Pog's fault he's a loanee.)

Why is everyone taking this as a banker? You are aware of our record vs Reading aren't you?

When did we last beat them? Year Etherhington got a brave? And that was a one off.

Don't count your chickens on this one. Another of our bogey teams.

Agreed. This will be a tough game and Atkinson will get them fired up for this.

We need to hope our players dont turn up ready for their holidays thinking they can stroll a win.

Important to take 3 points and finish top half. Financially and also i imagine would make us more attractive to foreign players.

I think he has played his last game for us. He might get on at some point, but I don't think he will start. At around 6:00 pm next sunday, I think it is highly likely he will drive his car out of the players car park for the very last time.

last game of the season, nothing but pride to play for?

We'll win 2-1: and I very, very rarely predict a win (so no doubt we'll lose 3-0)

Play like we did Sunday and we will lose.

Any chance of changing the thread title? Almost as embarrassing as the Sp*rs asterisk.

And some on here call Reading fans 'muggy' and 'plastic'. :eh:

if on sunday (which it is looking likely) is Carlton Cole's last game, do we think there will be a chorus of the spandau cole remix

I will be sad to see him go, top bloke & always commited to the club

on another note I would love to demolish these championship muppets!

Please no GON. Used to like him, even rate him a bit, but his constant misplaced passes and ball loss is a sign he is not good enough at the top level.

Could be Diame's and Carroll's last game for us too.....

With Maiga clearly not fancied, Chamakh being sent back, we could be without one single striker soon and will need at least three for next year.

Well, yes, I'd happily see Potts & Spence on the bench, and as Spence can also play in the centre, that would be enough defensive options imo.

But are they as good as Pogz? Sure, he's been shyte on the few occassions he's featured, but Sam is the one watching them in training, and if he picks Pogz for the bench, I'm sure it's not so he can be mean to our youngsters, but because he thinks it's the best option to win the match....

In fairness, I do agree regarding Pogz. I can't see what there is to gain (except the 3 points...) by picking him for the bench. I'd say Spence or Potts deserve that place more. I was arguing more against Hall or Morrison, as I don't see how they would have earned a place on the bench ahead of say Collison, Vaz Te or J. Cole (the players they would be competing against)
