I'll don the tin hat once more and echo what someone already said and mention Matty Taylor. Put in a shift and a half today I thought.

Looked a good game.

Quite happy for our academy products to get a chance rather than to have signed short term fading stars.

Kudos to those there, you lucky c****.

Attendance was 5,529 according to the Espanyol site, no idea how many were ours.

Turned out to be a 0-0 with a handball.

Good pen from Noble.

Things I learnt tonight:

We are better than Espanyol

I like it when we play football

For some that came on from the Dev squad – the biggest game of their life!!

Rav is Boss and wants to be Boss. Hope we don’t lose him back to Man U for Rio and pork scratchings

We haven’t got enough Rav’s

Taylor is quicker than I thought and gave his all tonight.

Vaz is a woos – see him fall over, hurt his wrist and then start limping

Maiga – no comment

Impressed with Dev squad and the football they try to play.
We are better than their reserves. Apparently only 3 of their regulars started.

Great show from the Barcelona hammers who where out in force and loud , strange to hear Spainards singing East East East London and bubbles with a Spanish slant .
The game was not great , but a great time on the the Chas tour .
A great stadium , however a poor show from the locals by the numbers attended , would have been better if the game was weeks in advance rather than days , onwards and upwards hopefully :crest:

Yes mate. Wish he'd try it more to be honest but saying that I'm very pleased with the amount of times he skins his bloke and crosses. It would just be a very welcome addition that's all.

elliot lee seems to have bulked up a bit..would love to see him getting in on the action during this season..southampton have a few of their academy products playing in the starting 11 week in week out so I'd like to think Lee can make the step up

Cheers for that. Those runs by Morrison were mustard. He looks really up for it and it was great to see him celebrate Noble's goal with such enthusiasm. If our lack of creativity continues I think it's going to be extremely difficult for Sam to justify not naming Morrison on the team sheet
