No…not a single thing stranger than us putting 6 past Man City has ever happened. If it were to happen, it would be used as the benchmark to measure all subsequent strangest things to happen.Sir_Trevor wrote:I think you've all written this one off too soon.
I am very optimistic that City are going to field a weakened/youth team, while we will use the game as a runout for returning stars like Reid, Vaz and Andy C and for Rav - a pretty strong team all around.
I can see us winning 6-0 and taking it to Extra Time when we will have several close chances but be frustrated in all our attempts until City eventually break and score.
2 minutes from time a cocky Manuel Pellegrini will bring himself on to relive past glories and use up a bit of time and City hold out for a 6-7 aggregate win.
But the following day, it is pointed out that Pellegrini was not a registered player and hence ineligible and City are disqualified leaving us to be reinstated - voila! Our very own Manuelligate .
Stranger things have happened. Believe!!

I must say that I'm mildly disappointed that you think the strangest thing about that scenario is the possibility of us putting 6 past City.
Though I make you right, as it happens.
