Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
He will defo play Nolan so no point thinking otherwise
I would like to see nicerino in for Taylor and Carlton to start in place of Carroll as he is more likely to take the chances that come his way IMHO and means we may hoof it less. Carroll may be more effective off the bench. Vaz Te if fit I would like to see or maybe Morrison out wide. Definitely, definitely not Jarvis

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
I would play the exact same starting XI as we did today, except with Vaz Te on for Diame if he is fit enough. Gives us some more oomph going forward, and i liked Taylor at CDM again today really puts his body about and the effort in and i can never fault a player for that. In a game like Swansea hopefully he would sit deeper letting Noble roam a bit more.

Same side, with Ringo in for JOB, and Nocherino in for Diame if necessary.
Promote Jack Collison and Razvan Rat to the bench, depending on injuries.

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
Considering the other fixtures this weekend this is a huge match for us....
If we get a win there will be a whole load of teams ****ting it!

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
Wait until transfer window is closed before we select morrison playing for us,its reported that Fulham will make one last improved offer for him.
But against Swansea we really need a win but quiet happy to get a 1 point and clean sheet again as well.

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
Cant we for once go for it at home and play two strikers. Carroll and the italian up front with Carltoni Colio as impact sub when Carroll is knackered. Lets have Jarvis and Downing starting to provide service. Noble and Diame in the middle if Diame is fit and same back four as tonight. We might even get some entertainment!

What I would like:
--------------------------------Adrian---------------------------------
-------------Collins---------Tomkins----------Ringo------------
--Demel-----------Noble---------Nocerino----------Downing
------------------------------Morrison--------------------------------
---------------------Cole--------=-------Carroll---------------------
Carroll's willingness to track back and defend set pieces means we need to play with a second striker if we are really going for the win.
I know. I know. It won't happen. But after the Chelsea result I'd just like to see a strong positive sign of intent with the starting line up.

Am hoping the messiah is beginning to relax and will get a goal. He is so desperate to score he keeps snatching his shots. COYI

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City match thread
For all those clamouring for Carroll to start, you do realise Carlton has been scoring regularly recently including 3 goals in his last 4 starts?
Surely he deserves his place against Swansea?

We simply have to win this. Last night would be in vein if we don't get three points.

Genuinely got a bit excited when I saw that! Said excitement soon faded once the realisation that it'll never happen kicked in. Still, what a line up that'd be.DrVenk wrote:What I would like:

Beginning to believe we may turn the corner, this game is massive.
-----------------Adrian
Demel--Tomkins--Collins--GMac
-----------Noble--Nocerino
---------------Nolan
Downing----Cole-----------Vaz Te (if fit)
A proper 4-3-3 get at them, get in their faces. Same effort, application and discipline as last night and we'll get something.
