Re: Ben Foster on our style of play
Far from it, in fact a scrappy 1-0 against a poor WHU side is more than likely going to be what keeps them up.maltab wrote:He also enjoyed mentioning that Pepe Mel has come in, and encouraged the team to play more football on the floor.
Hasn't exactly bought them a lot of good results though so far has it.

Re: Ben Foster on our style of play
Winced all the way through the interview because it was a stark assessment of our style.
Or lack thereof.

Re: Ben Foster on our style of play
He was stating the obvious. Not sure anyone should have an issue with it really.

What it didn't say was that we've had the highest amount of attempts off target with 12,841 but Diame has put 12,609 of them into the street.giantsteps wrote:" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
West Ham attempted just three shots on target v WBA. No side have attempted as few in the Premier League this season (114)

Best bit of yesterday was my lad getting his photo with Sir Trev after the game ... He was not very happy though

It's says a lot about him that one of our greatest ever players still takes the trouble to go to away matches .

As a fan under Allardyce, the worst thing is... when we are trailing by one goal I never ever feel like we are going to equalise. It's like if we're still 1-0 or 2-1 down in the 60th minute I just feel like going home. There's no intensity, it's just the slow sideways passing and aimless crosses that get us nowhere. It's SO unbelievably frustrating as a fan.
Can you think of many times under Allardyce where we've been trailing by the odd goal to get a draw or even a win? I can't think of many at all

Why is this acceptable? Why does everyone stick up for him every time I mention his name?
Vaz Te contributed more in 1 half vs Tottenham then this hack has in 30 yet he starts week in week out and was chosen over the signing of a 2nd choice striker.
If a new manager comes in id like to think his first order of business will be to sell Downing
I agree mate he is a powderpuff lightweight with no end product and he is on 70k pw week!!and he is about to turn 30! and yet people on here think he is decent and Jarvis gets slagged off far more even though he has had a better season
Our priority this summer should be to show him the door along with (Nolan MCartney Taylor J.Cole) all old and useless and eating up far too big a chuck of our wage bill, they need to be replaced buy young upcoming players between the ages of 19-26.

This season we've gained four points from games in which we've gone behind.sjb958 wrote:...............................

Re: West Bromich Albion v West Ham United: Match Thread
Which is strange because last season, we seemed to play a lot better when going a goal down, what has changed? Likewise, we used to try and get to half time 0-0 and then change our game in the second half to win it. We don't seem to do any of that anymore.sjb958 wrote:As a fan under Allardyce, the worst thing is... when we are trailing by one goal I never ever feel like we are going to equalise. That's a horrendous record. I bet we've lost a lot more after we've gone in frontJohnny Byrne's Boots wrote:This season we've gained four points from games in which we've gone behind.

We've lost or drawn seven games when we've gone ahead.sjb958 wrote:
