Re: Stoke City v West Ham United: Match Thread
Was this the first time in KUMB history that the new match thread has fallen off the front page before 7PM on a Saturday?

Same team as today, same end result please! This, along with most of what we have coming up, are very winnable.

This will be a hard game make no mistake. We can win it but it will need a top performance 1-2 West Ham
Re: Stoke City v West Ham United: Match Thread
AlwAys want to beat stoke, just think of them taking our wall out in the cup for motivation.
Probably 1-1.

Id be tempted to bring in Kouyate for Amalfitano.. only because it will add that little bit of bite in the midfield we need for an away day
could really hurt them

Don't even know what to expect anymore! Apart from 100% effort from every single player like today. So proud to be a hammer!
2nd half against Burnley and today's game proved that we have moved to a different level. Today wasn't a freak result it was absolutely deserved.
Hope we can continue this run and who knows how far we could go!!
0-2 hammers - Sakho to make it 8 in 8!

Wouldd settle for a point but if we play like we did today we could tear them a new one, which would be very nice.
Stoke are always seen as the hard team, I think we are now the leagues tough team though, all over the pitch we have players that have ability and strength and tenacity to go with it, it's causing people problems, and making us happy

At the moment it feels like we can give anyone a game. And if the defence plays as well as it did today we have a fine chance because I just can't see them keeping us quiet for the entire game.

Stoke aren't the team of fighters they were a couple of years back. Hughes has them playing some good stuff at times.
We need to play well.
2 - 1. Sakho and Downing

They will need to score two to beat us. Spurs is the only game we have not scored in this season.

Stoke lost at home to Leicester and won away at Man City.
I'm also inclined to think that Kouyate might be needed for this one.

Dare I say it, but it's also a game where Nolan may prove to be useful.bubbles1966 wrote: I'm also inclined to think that Kouyate might be needed for this one.
Only conundrum is, who do they replace?

Re: Stoke City v West Ham United: Match Thread
Kouyate for Amalfitano would be the only change I'd make and even that would be harsh on Morgan, west brom fans described him as talented but lazy, I think his work rate has been phenomenal, much better singing than I anticipated, Nolan is a cracking option to come off the bench if we are chasing the game or even looking to see one out, the only possible chance of him starting IMO is if Sakho is injured and the manager changes the system, but CC looks very sharp also and you would like to think he would come in and play with Valencia, definitely a game we can win if we start better than we did at burnley, this lot are struggling a bit at home but they have the players to punish us if we start slowly !

Re: Stoke City v West Ham United: Match Thread
For this one there is an understandable case to bring in Kouyate for Amalfitano, as well as the latter has played. I'll understand if that happens but I hope that urge is resisted. Let them worry about us. Playing without fear and in the belief we can out score our opponents has got us 4th. I'd keep an unchanged side.Dyer's Leg wrote:Only conundrum is, who do they replace?
