For this one I'd leave out Carroll and Nolan , keeping the former for easier pickings against Arsenal, and giving the skipper a day off so he can have a decent lunch with his family - a reward for not getting banned.

4-3-1-2

----------------------------------Adrian-------------------------------

Jenkinson--------Collins---------------Reid--------Cresswell

--------------------Song--------------Kouyate--------------------

-------------------------------Noble-------------------------------

------------------------------Downing-----------------------------

---Sakho---------------------------------------------Valencia---

Terry and Cahill would be capable of looking after Carroll , we may create more problems for Chelsea with Valencia's pace .

Would love to win this, so so so f***king much.

It's all about the midfield battle for me, and I'm probably still overconfident about how well we are doing but I fancy our midfield to give them a bit of a fight.

I don't mind if we play Sakho/ carroll, Sakho/ Valencia or Valecia/ Carroll. There's merit to all three pairings. Any of them would be fine. Be good to see Nobes fit for this one though.

If we come unstuck so be it, but there's goals in our team so just go for it West Ham. Make them need to score two or three to win the game. Surprise them, worry them, baffle them, run at them, unsettle them. Just go for it West Ham. That's all I'd ask for.

Didnt realise we play Arsenal so quickly. I think we need to rest some of our players. In that case id go with

Adrian
Jenkinson Collins Reid O'Brien
Noble Kouyate
Amalifitano Downing Valencia
Carroll

Id leave Carroll out for the Arsenal game personally. We will need his hold up play here more

Back 5. Try to lure Ivanovic/Azpi forward then use Sakho/Valencia to exploit the space behind them. Leave Terry/Cahill with nobody to mark.

I'd be delighted with a hard fought 0-0 draw like we got there last season.

Man City might have the best players but Chelsea have got the best manager in the country and are more than likely the best team.

They aren't a team to underestimate but we can certainly cause them problems.

I'd be pissed if we rested anyone, we should be throwing everything at this.

I admire your confidence but I still think we will need a keeper .

I'm looking forward to this one. I'm under no illusions that Chelsea are a great side and for me the best team in the Premier League this season but I feel we can give them a good game.
That is if we play our strongest XI out there. I think Carroll has shown he's a 'mare for any back pair and Sahko may benefit from this. Song and Downing are playing some of the best football we've seen at West Ham in some time and there's positivity throughout the squad.
A win at the Bridge is a huge ask, but not an impossible one so I'm going to say a 1-1 draw, full of incident.

Sam wont change a winning side, our front 2 work as hard as any and he knows Chelsea will have to do a job on them

Enner is a great option to have on the bench, particularly on the road where the home side will leave gaps...he has so much pace it's frightening

I'm optimistic we can get something, but we will have to play a blinder

It's easy to get blinkered by optimism because of our good start, this is a top Chelsea side who quite frankly don't lose games, particularly at home

Cahill/Terry would prefer AC, than Enna/Sakho running behind in my humble.

Pinkys team is my team as well, would love that side to go out and have a proper go.

Have to agree,Valencia and Sakho.

We need to defend and hit on the break with real pace, one thing that these two offer but Carroll doesn't!

Plan B?, I think so!! :D

this game and potentially the L'Arse home fixyure could be the reality check that some on here need. We've done brilliantly well so far this season and all credit to manager and players BUT Chelsea on their game are a much much stronger team and will be wanting to give us a reminder of the division's p[ecking order. I see a defeat here and a draw vs. L'Arse. The big one is WBA really.

I agree. Perhaps change one or at the most two - but keep the fresh faces for the Arsenal.
Obviously, if we are out of the game with 30 minutes to go, bring on subs as well. My main worry is Carroll. Got to keep his energy up.

The bookies usually know what they're doing. Chelsea's home record this season:

P8 W8 D0 L0 F20 A3

Only two teams have managed to score there, and they let in 6 between them in the process.

Last season, they lost 1, so that's 1 from their last 28. 10/1 starts to look characteristically stingy, if you ask me, we should be 30/1.

When we went there last year they were close to 100% as well. Only one team had achieved a draw there when we played them.

West Ham have scored in every away game this season.
