Chelsea 2-0 West Ham Utd (26/12/14)
Friday 26th December 2014
Stamford bridge, London.
KO: 12:45
I'm not going to be able to catch this game anywhere, and each time I've been in that situation this season, we've won.
I think we have a chance of winning this. No, sod it. I think we will win it.
I feel it in my bones.

Did Carroll lose a header today?! We've always got a chance with him in the team
Re: Chelsea v West Ham United: Match Thread
Anything from this is a bonus.
Arsenal are the ones I'm looking at. Flimsy defence and we're due to hold on to a lead against them soon.

I thought we looked a bit tired and battle weary today. What for me, was especially noticeable, was players being stationary when receiving the ball. It was enough to beat Leicester, but we will need to quicken that up against Chelsea and Arsenal

Might be different against terry and Cahill... they will love the battle... Sahko and Valencia pulling them about and running in behind them though... they won't like as much.Yea Why Not wrote:Did Carroll lose a header today?! We've always got a chance with him in the team
I expect to see Sam go with the same team from today and keep it as tight as we can for as long as we can.

Agree we did look a bit jaded but we have 2 days extra rest than Chelsea before we meet on Boxing Day and they have a tough little trip to Stoke on Monday night.

Re: Chelsea v West Ham United: Match Thread
I'd like to see us start with Sahko and Valencia as they can pull Terry and Cahill all over the place. If Song and Downing are fit, they start. Koyate had a great game today and should keep his place but, I'd be tempted to bring Noble back in place of Kev. Back five remains as is provided Tomkins' injury is OK.
I'm with Dyer's .... Chelsea are definitely beatable. Particularly, as Stoke will probably work them over on Monday and they've only got three days before they play us.

I'll be flying back to London, last time I did that we lost to Man U, hopefully we'll get a result this time and no dodgy decisions going against us.

Adrian
Jenkinson-Collins-Reid-Cresswell
Song
Kouyate-Amalfitano
Valencia
Sakho-Carroll
Subs - Jaaskelainen, O'Brien, Demel, Nolan, Downing, Cole, Zarate
I think we'll give them a scare.

Any idea who's reffing this game? Nasty feeling that they'll be deciding this result.

I'm thinking the same thing Dan, still Sam's got the measure of Jose ( special one my arse) and can "out tactic" him again.Philosophical Dan wrote:Any idea who's reffing this game? Nasty feeling that they'll be deciding this result.

I think we could spoil their 100 per cent home record. About time we won there. Last time was 2003 if I'm not mistaken, at a ground where we regularly used to take all the points in 'The good old days'.
Come on you Irons !
