Only 9 on the pitch - now that's confidence!
Check who's available, too...

------------------------ Adrian ----------------------
Demel ------ Tomkins ------ Reid ------ Cresswell
------------------------ Song ------------------------
--------------- Noble -----------Kayoute -----------
-----------------------Downing----------------------
------------- Sakho------------ Carroll----------

Harsh on Amalfitano as deserves a chance but thought Kayoute would be more solid to start with....

Nolan played the full 90 today so wouldn't expect him to be anywhere near the starting XI given Sam has already stated the need to rest players :D

Watching them now, a half decent team would be 3-2 up against them! Alexis is the only one I'm worried about, we're at home and we are going to have plenty of chances. COYI

We'll beat them. They're very average away from home. Walcott might play though which would be bad news, he'll have his only good game of the season if he does.

Keep Carzola and Sanchez quiet and we can win.

No loan player can play against the club holding his registration, so No he cannot play and neither can Song if we played Barca this season

Whoever comes in at RB, Joey or Demel - they're going to have a task on their hands up against Sanchez when he's out on the left wing. If we can put a plan together to stifle him, I fancy us to put the attacking pressure on their fragile defence.

Adrian
O'Brien-Collins-Reid-Cresswell
Kouyate
Song-Amalfitano
Downing
Sakho-Carroll

Bench - Jussi, Demel, Tomkins, Nolan, Jarvis, Valencia, Carlton

Start like we did against Liverpool and Man City, get an early goal. Mertesacker and Chambers will be torn apart by Carroll and Sakho, Mertesacker isn't exactly mobile and only plays well with Koscielny, Chambers doesn't support him as much. Creswell and Amalfitano should destroy Bellerin down the left, he's not good enough imo. Collins to put Sanchez in his pocket. Song to work his magic.

2-0 WHU

Neither of those two players is any worse than Jenkinson at defending though, and it's possible Demel is actually superior to him in that department. So we won't be losing out to much there, more at the other end of the park where he links up the play. Demel is no slouch with his delivery when he's having a good day though - I'd probably go with him ahead of JoB

That's the team I would play too and I reckon Carroll will cause havoc and Sakho will get a at least two goals :scarfer:
