Me too Rh, was it the performances of the season so far or being automatically entitled to a renewal for the last season at the Bolyen that made you sign up? Really looking forward to seeing us get back to winning ways, someone really should be put to the sword sooner or later and I think the baggies may be on the receiving end of a frustrated team, considering the last two results. I'd be inclined to mix this up a bit.
The usual defence and keeper.
Song and Kouyate.
Noble just in front.
Zarate Valencia Sakho interchanging up top.
Downing needs a rest, so does Carroll, he'd be better served as an impact substitute as well, of all our players he'd be the most influential coming off the bench.

Merson watched this lot yesterday on soccer Saturday and seemed very impressed with them, apparently they were much the better team and didn't look like a bottom four side, however no matter how well you play, losing games drains your confidence and you would think they would be there for the taking, I can see this being a harder game than many think as I don't think we will play at the same tempo as we did yesterday, we only seem to do it against certain teams and second half against Swansea aside we seem to make hard work of it against the so called lesser teams, I think apart from Jenko coming back in for Joey, the team that started yesterday probably deserves to start this!

Get back to that team, we were flying until Sakho and Valencia were split up due to injuries.
Keep Nolan, Noble, Zarate and Carroll for the plan B.

So seems like the majority of fans want to revert back to our most dangerous partnership so far this season. Sakho and Valencia, I don't think we have much chance of this happening unfortunately.

this game is a must win. we cant have 3 on the bounce and west brom will be up for it after we smashed and grabbed them at their place.
we need to play our best 11, use Sakho and Kouyate as much as possible whilst they are here
Tomkins obviously out, and carroll can have a rest for when we need him next month

Will they ? By all accounts they have ben very poor in their last few matches and their fans have lost faith in Alan Irvine. I doubt they are brimming with confidence about a visit to our gaffemumbles87 wrote:this game is a must win. we cant have 3 on the bounce and west brom will be up for it after we smashed and grabbed them at their place.

I'd understand if he played Carroll rather than Enner and if he bought Amalfatino in to give Downing a rest but other than that If Noble's match fit then that side would more than do for me.Korea Hammer wrote:Adrian

Yeah, I agree. I like Carroll, I'm just interested to see how it goes with both of EV/DS up front.DaveWHU1964 wrote: I'd understand if he played Carroll rather than Enner and if he bought Amalfatino in to give Downing a rest but other than that If Noble's match fit then that side would more than do for me.

I get that Korea. I love watching those two together. For me they have the best understanding of any strike combination we have. It's just that (and I know he didn't score yesterday) Andy's still got three in the last three at home so it's a tough call. Tougher than some make out.Korea Hammer wrote:Yeah, I agree. Re: West Ham United v West Bromich Albion: Match Thread
In the games which Sakho and Valencia started together (7) we averaged 2 points a game. In these matches we beat Manchester City and Liverpool, terrorising their back line. With Carroll starting (8 games) we have averaged 1.625 points a game - a clear difference.carnage wrote:

Re: West Ham United v West Bromich Albion: Match Thread
I agree with wizzo_66, in that I'd give Downing a much needed rest. I'd play Sakho & Valencia with Amalfitano in Downings role. I don't think WBA's defence would cope well with that.
