Post by Discobar »

Two FA Cup Third Round replays have been selected for live TV coverage next week.

Following their 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening, West Ham United and Everton will meet again at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday 13 January, a game which will be screened live on BT Sport and kick-off at 7.45pm.

And the clash between Ipswich Town and Southampton at Portman Road on Wednesday 14 January has been selected for live coverage by the BBC, kicking-off at 7.55pm. The Championship high-fliers earned a replay with Ronald Koeman's side courtesy of a 1-1 draw at St. Mary's on Sunday.

All four clubs will receive a live broadcast fee of £72,000, whilst the prize fund payment to the winners is £67,500.

How bizarre. Not keen on that at all. When was the last time we didn't wear the traditional colours in a competitive home game?

Think we did at home v Aldershot in early 90s in the cup - although technically I think we were the away team and it was a venue swap :?

We wore our away kit in the cup 5th round at home to Sheff Utd in 1968 because it was worn in wins at Burnley and Stoke so was thought lucky. We lost.
