I refuse to watch us on the telly.
I can't remember the last time I saw us win in a televised game that I didn't attend

I didn't get home till about 1:30am last night so didn't post but what a game!

First game of the season for me since giving up my ST last year (only because I went travelling) - went with a friend and sat in the Upper East Stand right by the away fans - was great, chanting all game (although not always with the whole crowd getting involved) and having banter while watching the game, My ST used to be in bobby moore lower & i would love to get a ST in that section permanently!

Great game, was frustrating knowing we had an extra man and never took advantage but fair play to the team bringing it back! For once I actually thought Sam made all the right subs at the right time, alot of people around me moaning when Collins came off for Carlton but what else could we really do at 2:1 down? loved how he scored with his first touch - well played to him and Sam for getting it right and letting us all have a memorable evening! :scarfer:

When Tevez scored that goal against Man Utd I had to go outside in the garden until the game was over - I honestly couldn't cope .

That's exactly how I was in the '66 World Cup Final (with the excuse that I was only 10). At full time I couldn't stand the tension any more, and had to go out into the back yard and kick a football around, my old man had to come and get me when Hurst score the fourth! :)

I'm not much better these days

Even if we lost, I would have said "christ, what an amazing game of football", (which I did say to my old man when we were losing). They've turned into an entitled and bitter bunch.
seriously, could you imagine the uproar if we lost ?

why play a half fit song ? '' why bring on nolan ? '' this is why we should of kept zarate'' c.cole not good enough anymore, sam out ! blah blah blah ''

Saw the interview yesterday, came across as quite bitter. Knows he may be picking his p45 up soon.

He also claims he wrote all of Shakespeare's plays, and he and his wife wrote all of his sonnets.

He can also burrow through an elephant, allegedly.

That's with us having 28 shots to their 11 and 50/50 possession, right?

I love that section - I'm about 30 years older than the average age in there, but it's a brilliant craic

Saw that, all managers are deluded, especially after losing.

Agreed, I liked it up there when I used to be a member, plus you can guarantee banter with the away fans unlike the STBL. The issue with up there is it is mostly people who buy a ticket on the day rather than Season Ticket Holders, can't always guarantee a good atmosphere.

Has anyone got a link to that thoroughly dismissive Everton article and thread where they were basically saying they are back and we are not anything to be worried about?

I really could do with a laugh.

Same here, have a ST in BML but fancied a change of scenery for this one and was well impressed with the singing & banter with away fans, was like being at an away game! What a fantastic night all round :scarfer:
