Hope the Ginger Pele is back for this one.
Never thought i would be saying this at the start of the season.
But think he is our most natural leader, and when you need to dig out a result, no better man.
Unsung Hero.

6 weeks ago would have said we were nailed on here - our respective form has gone in different directions since - sad to say but can only see a lame defeat

The season is already over, we had a chance for our best ever league finish and chucked it away by stubbornly playing the wrong players, we had a fantastic chance for a cup final and couldn't be bothered to turn up against west bloody brom, after so much promise early on, this season is just going to fizzle out, lets just hope the players have some little bit of pride in themselves and put a bit of effort in for this one, at least make a game of it, give us something to celebrate, we have nothing to lose so why not just go for it with a bit of passion and pride, please!hadleighhammer wrote:A loss here and the season over.

At least we now know how Tottenham fans feel when the season is basically over in February

We are all but guaranteed Premier League football next season. Is there the slightest point in playing our normal away tactics of "respect the point?" Trying to keep a clean sheet, at the expense of any genuine attacking intent, also seems a rather dreary aim. Let's play as though we are at home, and take it to them. What's to lose? Trouble is I don't think it's in Sam's DNA.

Spurs have a tough game vs Fiorentina on Thursday. A couple of injuries picked up in that game would help.
Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread
I don't get it. There's a third of the games left to play. We're 7 points from 5th with 39 to play for.Tristan Shout wrote: The season is already over
It's far from over unless 38 and a cup run was the only goal. Form has taken a hit recently but it does, virtually no one is consistent for the entire season. 4 of the 7 teams above us started poorly and have come into form later.
We started strong and have faltered recently, yesterday will hopefully serve as a wake up call and we'll find another gear.

I see this going one of two ways, confidence low after the humiliation and subsequent reaction and we get another bumming, or we get a reaction from the players after said humiliation and put in an 'early season' performance and take all the points! Gonna think positive and go for the latter

All I wish for is that we go there and pressure them and attempt to create chances. The away games since Xmas have generally been back to last seasons safety first approach and it ain't working.

How on earth can people say the season is over?
We managed to do this lot 3-0 last season when we were on a dreadful run, not scoring goals, shipping them at the back. Anything can happen in games like these, Sam and the team will have had a full week to rest, repair and come up with a gameplan to beat this mob.
2-1 West Ham, Noble and Valencia. COYI

Losing 4-0 to West Brom was awful.
Losing by any score to these utter c**** would be worse.
I hope we put things right, and have a real go at them
Would love to get another win there and have another disappointed picture of that beady eyed little **** of a chairman in the stands.
1-2...
Worst case scenario is Adebayor scoring the winner.
They have a game against Fiorentina on Thursday. With our game sandwiched between another Thursday game against Fiorentina and a Cup final. There's an opportunity...

They won't be wanting to pick up cards that would get them banned, either.
Now that the Europa winners get a Champions league place, old Pochettino has a selection dilemma.

I'm assuming you mean Thursday.Whufc06 wrote:They are bound to be fatigued after their game on Sunday so we must start quickly.
But I think this is a good point. This is their home game against Fiorentina. He has to put out a strong squad. He would want them in a good position, so that he can rest players for their away game, as it's 3 days before a cup final. Not to mention they will be in cup final mode anyway.
You are right, start quickly like we have done in some home games against some better teams, and they will struggle to match us.
This is a real opportunity here, and one that can get our season back on track. It would leave us just a couple of points behind them, and a win would really restore some belief we can do so much better...
