Re: Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
What a sh*t away day Saturday was. Awful place, pubs were dire beforehand and we played for a 1-1. Not gone away from a game feeling so fed up and quite frankly bored with watching West Ham for a while, the season is over and we all know it, but why the manager has to instruct the team to be cautious I don't know. If we are going on the same ideology that 'we have nothing to play for' why not go to Leicester and try and win a friggin football game when you have 3,300 fans who have paid a lot of money to travel up and watch - so frustrating.
Fair play to any of you travelling to QPR, Villa, Man City or Newcastle in the coming weeks, you have a lot more patience than me.

Even over the radio, that sounded impressive. It was when, even before they scored their second, they all started singing 'We are staying up' that I knew our game was up.BarryGreen wrote:Come on leicester boys,

Its a cliche, I know, but they did their bit as the '12th man' on Saturday...

We have played worse and won this season. Should have drawn, could have won. Carrying Nolan each week is tiresome though.
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
That was us singing 'we are staying up' as a kind of piss take after reminding them that they are going down.

Ha ha! I genuinely thought that they were singing that as a way of geeing up their team for one last push towards our goal.

Was sat adjacent to the Leicester fans (in line with the goal rather than behind) and was surprised at the vitriol between the two sets of fans in the first half...more than likely all booze, hot air, hand gestures and fans merely getting territorial, though was unimpressed when Kouyate scored and the wife nearly got bowled over by a bunch of oiks rushing from their seats a block over to taunt their (dis)pleasure
Also saw a stand-off between fans after the game that the police intercepted; bit spicier than expected
All of the above may just be the old man in me venting

I think you mean our response of "you're going down, down, down, down..."BarryGreen wrote:Come on leicester boys,

That bit made me laugh. It shut the muppet with the drum up pretty quick.
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Pretty gutted with the result, we never came out for the second half.
We worked the ball out into some good areas but couldn't make anything happen.
Disappointing day. Hopefully we can find a way to change things up between now and the end of the season to pick up some points.
Did anyone else notice a few of our fans getting into it with each other?

Just me that thought that Leicester chant was cringey then?
We go wild, wild, wild?
We go wild, wild, wild?
I was adjacent to the Leicester lot behind the goal and similar antics were happening.Foster's Volley wrote:Was sat adjacent to the Leicester fans (in line with the goal rather than behind) and was surprised at the vitriol between the two sets of fans in the first half...more than likely all booze, hot air, hand gestures and fans merely getting territorial

It was the first two lines that were catchy. I could only remember 'going down, down, down' after that.
I was right next to the Leicester fans behind the goal but I'm too old to worry about gurning at each other. The one's closest to me were aged about 10!

Pi**ed up kids using gang mentality (i.e 'there's more of us than you) picking fights with people. Seen it a few times especially at away games this season.

Usually the anti-Sam v the pro-Sam sections.
Anti - youth in large groups
Pro - older gents with more of a thought process.
That's the way I've seen it on a number of occasions this season. Goes for home matches too. Take Sunderland in the BML for example.

I completely disagree, i sit in what was once called the Alpari, right near the away section. And the younger fans are the ones that seem more pro-sam, the older ones are the ones who shout "f*** off you fat old c*nt". The younger fans are too busy trying to give it large to the away fans.LincolnshireHammer wrote:Usually the anti-Sam v the pro-Sam sections.

As people get greyer they usually understand that the world is not all black and white......

I was at the bar, and two lads came up to me whilst my mate was in the toilet. Kept slapping me on the back and just generally being kn*bs.
Noticed afterwards in the toilet that there was a mark on back of my jacket. Looked like grease from a burger or something.
When I was leaving the ground, they were both still inside. One of them had his nose popped.

Fair enough, I haven't got any concrete evidence. I was only basing it on the instances I've seen this year.O'Briens Hair-Line wrote:I completely disagree, i sit in what was once called the Alpari, right near the away section. There is a mix, yes.
