88 West Ham almost grab a third through Sissons but he's offside anyway. Not that it'll matter now, United are seconds away.

89 Huge cheer for Jim Standen as he plucks a Grosser corner out of the floodlit West London air.

89 Sealey hacked down again and ends up on the greyhound track. He's alright though, you'd have to shoot him to get him off that field now.

Incredible scenes. Now can we push on and consolidate our success? I predict a long period of us dominating league and cup competitions both domestically and abroad.

Yep, we've moved to the 'next level' and one day we'll err, move back up to it again. Maybe.

Boss- thanks. A great idea and very nicely done.

And how lovely to see Bobby loft the trophy within about a minute of the game ending. They'd only just be thinking about wheeling on the cardboard plinth and naff fireworks were that game today.

Dave. You're a foetus and I'm about four years from being conceived. Should we even be having this conversation?

We are clearly going to win some league titles in the next few years. There had better be some Irons in the England squad by george.

True. You're wise beyond your (minus four) years.

Can someone tell my bird (now Mrs Ironworks) I won't be home till late.
No mobiles around.
And I still can' remember much, only singing Bubbles outside the Boleyn at some unearthly hour.
Must have shaken hands with about 10000 krauts after the game, they were really great sports.
Also the docks were nearly empty after 4pm. Either on our way to Wembley or to watch it in Black and white on the Telly.

I've been in Australia all night and I missed this game!

I had a dream where some little ginger kid was jumping up and down and running around his flat in the East End kissing photo's of Alan Sealey on his bedroom wall.

Hopefully one day someone will invent a sort of small television that you can put on a table and watch football matches being beamed in from outer space or somewhere.

[Brilliant original concept Boss and whoever - incredibly well done to all].

A truly gobsmacking effort. I've rarely seen a performance like this in 10 years. The attitude, the dedication was top drawer. The stamina indeed.....

We will never see a single poster perform like this again.......ever.

Well done guv..... :D
