Re: West ham Vs stoke
With their recent results they are going to be well up for it, gutted Shawcross is back he is instrumental for them, Shaqiri has moments of magic albeit not all that often, Diouf if he plays next week causes problem and always seems to get a goal.

Re: West ham Vs stoke
Our best defensive performances all season have been with Tomkins playing right back, no way does Jenkinson come back in for this game. Same back 4. I thought Antonio did okay today when he came on yet doubt Bilic will start him, so basically the same team as today except Lanzini in for Moses (I am assuming Moses will be injured and Lanzini will be fit)

yes. He shouldnt have walked back in the team in the first place..Obiang was nothing short of outstanding last week helped keep the midfield ticking then found himself on the benchsteveyrockstar wrote:you'd drop our captain after today's performance?

Agreed. What is the fascination with Noble? Let him know he is not an automatic choice.

The exact same team and setup I'd go for too.
Don't wish injury on anyone but I am glad it means Moses won't be elected to start. My patience has been wearing extremely thin with him in recent weeks. Very costly and wasteful in possession when we have the ball and simply hasn't been doing enough to be playing so regularly. Couple of moments here and there is just not good enough. Lanzini is a marked improvement on him.

Going to be a tough game for us - Stoke absolutely shredded Man City, though in fairness, ManC's defending through midfield and their actual defenders, was dreadful; but Shaqiri and Bojan are a handful, and Arnautovic is a big goal threat as well.

Re: West Ham United v Stoke City: Match Thread
They have some exceptionally good players in their team, Bojan whom it seems, escaped everybody else's radar, Shakiri, who's physique defies all logic for a footballer and Afalay are the pick of the bunch. Quite what any of them are doing at Stoke is baffling, but they are there and fortunately for us, as a team they are less effective on the road. We just don't have goals in us, so this won't be a coupon buster. 1-1

Re: West Ham United v Stoke City: Match Thread
This is a very good side we'll be dealing with. Xedran, Bojan, Affelay, Van Ginkel, Butland are all tops, while Glen Johnson has had a fine season with them so far. Their squad is very good indeed, and better things will get better for them in 2016. We forget that stoke are no longer under Pulis and his ridiculous battering ram style which was effectively to hit the man at the top, and hope for the best, while playing an overly robust style in defence.
Currently, they have an excellent mix of players, who are finally working in consort, which in turn makes them a team to be underestimated at our peril.
The word was the Valencia will be back for this one? That will be a major perk, particularly with Alex Song back in the midfield. If Lanzini can also make it back, that would be a bonus too. If Payet and Sakho were around id have full confidence of a win right now. Without them, I'm not so sure, but I think with some industrious play, a result is highly achievable.
