AFC Bournemouth 1-3 West Ham Utd (12/01/16)
Thought I would kick this off. For me, in defence Adrian, Ogbonna and Tomkins to come back in, much as tho' I like Winston. Also, Payet, and Carroll to start. I think Obiang also did enough today to warrant a place in the team and Kouyate to come back in. Zarate, Song and Jelavic to drop to the bench I reckon.
Adrian
Cresswell Ogbonna Collins Tomka
Obiang
Antonio Noble Kouyate Payet
Carroll

Re: AFC Bournemouth v West Ham Utd 12 January match thread
Looking forward to this, haven't been down there for a good few years.
The free coaches were all 'sold out' and the choice was a nasty drive, £116 in trains or a £29 hotel nearby so overnight for me.
Any recommendation as to pubs nearby?

Boscombe area is the place for pre match beer and grub , Sir Percy Florence is a Wetherspoons , it s near to O2 academy and Cristchurch st and a hop and a skip to the ground.
Always very busy before a game but not many alternatives. You can also park in the multi storey behind the precinct. or near sainsburys .

Hope they don't get Afobe's transfer ironed out in time. It was why he didn't play for Wolves today.

I agree on the 11. Subject to Payet being ready for 90 minutes. If he is, id like him more central, not least as I see him playing Antonio in for runs on goal...kevino wrote:Thought I would kick this off. They could have Afobe and Iturbe which could instantly make it tougher, that said if we play well we should get a result as we've shown on numerous occasions this season.
I'm looking forward to it, I wish it had been a Saturday in August/September/May which would've saved a day and a half of annual leave, but bring it on. Will be driving down and back, although thinking about a hotel for the night.

Look forward to seeing my fellow irons take over the back yard.
Buzzing to wander over to see us play!
We HAVE to get them back.

I suspect Bilic will play 3 in the middle for this to try to counter Bournemouth passing game.

I think Valencia or Zarate will start ahead of Payet, purely on fitness grounds. Ginge seems to be looking after himself better these days, but have a concern that he might twang a hammy.kalashnikov wrote:I suspect Bilic will play 3 in the middle for this to try to counter Bournemouth passing game.

Re: AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread
I would guess that the following were fully rested yesterday, with a view to starting Tues:
1. Adrian
2. Tomkins
3. Kouyate
4. Valencia.
I also imagine that, if he could have got away with it, Bilic would not have called on Carroll.
I would therefore expect the 4 above to replace Randolph, Jenkinson, Song and Zarate, and Jela and Carroll to also swap.
Bournemouth quietly extended a decent run of results, with their win away at St. Andrews yesterday. They will be confident that this run can continue, so long as they retain their shape and team spirit and take their chances.
The main question for Bilic will be whether he retains the CB partnership from yesterday and, if not, who he benches, in favour of Ogbonna keeping his place. The defence against LFC was excellent. I would personally retain Ginge in the starting line up and let Reid gradually re-introduce himself into a winning (league) side.
I have to say that the 'safety first' vibe for the defence can also be sensibly utilised for Payet. What is the point in forcing him back to soon into first team start status?
