Newcastle Utd 2-1 West Ham Utd (16/01/16)
My first visit to St James Park this Saturday. Still buzzing after last night im optimistic we can come away with the 3 points.
Will be a tough game with Newcastle finding some form! They certainly wont be as bad as they were at Upton Park.
2 wins 2 loses and 1 draw in our previous 5 meetings
Shame Carroll is out i fancied him for a brace! Struggling to get my head around what we should do up front! Start Jelavic? Push Valencia up top? I reckon Slav will start with his old mate Jeli for me so same starting 10 with Jelavic replacing Carroll!
COYI!!!!

Really looking forward to it after the euphoria of last night's result.
However it is going to be COLD!

Can anyone recommend a drinking hole before the game?

Not to be taken lightly this one, they seem to have grown in confidence recently and will be well up for this.

First visit to St James Park also, really looking forward to this one as staying up there the weekend.
I can't see us not scoring against them and with us being solid at the back, I am hoping we grab a win, but I expect it to be tight.
Where do people tend to drink before the match? Bars and Pubs are not in shortly supply around there that's for sure!

If Moses is fit to start I actually think something like that would work quite nicely.Georgee Paris wrote:------------------------Adrian--------------

Payet central in behind Antonio/Valencia/Moses, with those three having licence to roam side to side and get in behind. Newcastle have looked a bit better the last couple of months but they are slow at the back and will need to push on for a win the longer it stays level.

I doubt Jelavic has enough in the tank to play pretty much 3 full games in 8 days.

Re: Newcastle United vs West Ham United - Match Thread
As i said in the Bournemouth thread. This week could be a defining point in our season. Two wins will build a gap to the bottom half and those chasing us.
Will also propel us very close to the top 4.
Get a win Saturday and get in a quality striker and we can dare to dream.

Re: Newcastle United vs West Ham United - Match Thread
Bearing in mind our current form and Newcastle's this has all the hallmarks of a game we should be getting some points from.
Which means we will lose. 2-0. I haven't got where I am today without knowing the West Ham way.

Are Moses and/or Lanzini fit for this one?
If so, start Enner up front with one of the above coming into the line up.
If not, start Jelavic up front in place of Andy.
Three points here could push us into the top four if results go our way.
