Must win game. Feeling quite positive after today. I thought we controlled the game pretty well without looking overly dangerous. If we can get the final ball right then i think we'll win on Wednesday.

Hopefully Byram in at RB and Antonio back up to RW. 2-0. :scarfer:

Adrian
O'Brien-Reid-Ogbonna-Cresswell
Obiang-Kouyate
Antonio=Lanzini-Moses
Carroll

Subs - Randolph, Byram, Collins, Noble, Payet, Emenike, Sakho

If Payet's drop in form is due to burnout give him a rest. If it is due to him believing his own hype, show him he's not bigger than the team. Watford clearly have their eyes on the FA Cup, keep Ighalo quiet, and he's been out of form for a while and we can easily get a win.

2-0.

Like you say, they have one eye on the cup, while we have all on finishing as strongly as possible. Perhaps with a little luck Flores will select a team which will preserve his best players for the weekend. They are safe, and have little to play for in the league too, so that might influence him.

Personally, Id move Antonio up the park, and slot Byram into right back..

Antonio------------------Noble-------------Lanzini

Got to play Antonio further up the pitch. He's what gives us the pace and power to counter the guile of Payet or Lanzini on the other side. He's a threat with the ball or without it charging in at the back post.

This lot (Capoue, Deeney, Ighalo) rolled us over when we went in lightweight and slow at theirs.

Similar-ish set up to today is required. Obiang, Kouyate, Antonio in the front six please.

---------------------------- Adrian -----------------------
Byram --------- Collins ------ Ogbonna --------- Cresswell
-------------------- Noble --------- Kouyate -------------
Antonio --------------- Lanzini --------------- Payet
-------------------------- Carroll -------------------------

Randolph, Tomkins, Reid, Song, Obiang, Moses, Sakho

Valencia and Emenike on the bench if Song and Sakho are not back

Our defence has been weaker since Collins has been out

I presume Watford will be fielding a reserve side due to Semi Final

Noble and Kouyate got owned at theirs.

Kouyate needs Obiang or Song beside him against this lot if they play their first team. Noble will have to take his chance against Lanzini, Payet, Moses, Emenike etc.

This is almost certain to be my last visit to UP. Really looking forward to it. Will be an emotional evening - let's hope we can get the three points.

I would bring in Byram and Carroll for Moses and Emenike.

We don't need to rest Payet, we have a 10 day break until our next game. Plenty of time to rest.

Let's just forget playing the game and let the referee decide what the score will be!! That is what has happened in the last month or so, right??

Sadly Puff, no it doesn't! We always consider that we have to smash teams and guarantee 3 points if they are below us. I have become resigned to the fact now that the referee will play a massive part in this game and have had enough of it. If we do manage not to lose, it will mean that no one has done the double over us this season.

Our biggest home win is 2-0 so we ain't going to smash them.

They played very well at WBA to win 1-0 and are on a high leading up to the semi-final. If we think they are going to take their foot off the pedal and imagine it'll be an easy ride, we'll be 1-0 down and struggling to unlock their very effective defence.

Patience from the team and crowd will be essential.
