Catching up on the game after getting home from work. Just watched Valencia shielding the ball from the keeper outside the box and the keeper brushing him aside and clearing the ball. Good work Enner

Went to the khasi at 2-0 safe in the knowledge that the win was in the bag, came back to discover it'd ended 2-2.

Didn't he get a new contract last season, or am I imagining that?

I remember thinking that it was a strange one at the time. He'd failed to trouble the starting line up at some very poor clubs whilst out on loan.

Burke did well, Fletcher ok, Cullen, Noble and Feghouli as well, but best for me this evening was a 16 year old kid. Step forward Quina!

A weak Swansea team back up your statement entirely.

It's a waste of a fantastic player in the final third, and a weak link at the back. I really don't understand why he's being used this way.

i know it's early doors but i don't see why we don't invest in a right back and play antonio up front rather than waste £20 mil + on another striker . His positional play is not good, neither is his first touch. He's an accident waiting to happen in that position when we should be seeing him banging them in. It doesn't make sense.

Does he have the all round game to improve the team from that position though?

Packed box? You want someone who can whip a perfect ball in.

Opposition camped in there half? You need to be able to move the ball quickly around them.

He isn't a good enough passer to do that. Our style of play allowed Antonio to be reckless last season which is probably why he scored so many. I can't see him replicating it in a more disciplined team.

Wouldn't want Antonio up front either. Touch isn't good enough for that. Might as well keep Enner.

We know 2 things. Bilic wanted Tore. Sullivan bought him Antonio.

Is Bilic trying to force him out?
Who gave him the new contract? Did they consult with Bilic first?

I get the whole "modern full backs are converted wingers" thing, but Danny Rose can defend. Michail can't. If Slaven doesn't want him, then sell him on. We'd easily get £10-15m for him. He'd be great for Swansea, Leicester, plenty of PL sides. We could do with him on the bench for England too. I don't want to see him rot as a woefully inadequate full back. He seems like a top guy.

Hey, all of a sudden people don't want to see our second best player last season on the field? Yes he's not a RB, yes he has been lousy for two friendlies, but behave please. He just had a baby and are just back from that great experience...
Give it a rest.

We do need a proper RB though...

As I understand it, the new deal was a sweetener for someone who doesn't want to play at full back but has been asked/told to.

Bloody hell now there's a conspiracy theory that Bilic wants Antonio out of the club as he didn't get tore last season, this place at times is bizarre

Payet, Lanzini, Noble all improved us more. His goals were great, his general play not so much.

Two great examples of goals made by Antonio, first beating his man (or men) and then whipping in a perfect cross:

Leicester away for Cresswell's stunner
Arsenal at home for Carroll's hat-trick header

He's a beast of a winger which is where we need to be playing him.
