Chelsea 2-1 West Ham Utd (15/08/16)
Not long now until our first game of the season boys and girls
Big Andy has found the goal scoring knack that he finished on last season aswell
Chelsea are no push overs and with konte pulling the strings it will be a tough match however can see us nicking something from the game
Would like to see us line up
-----------------Adrian
Bryam---ogbonna--Reid--mausuka (sp)
------------kouyate ---noble
Fengoli (sp)------ayew-----Antonio
-------------------/Carroll
With payet on the bench most likely not ready to start
That team could come away with all 3 points. And having payet on bench to bring on just imagine 70 mins after Antonio has run them raggid bring on the skill

anybody got their tickets for this game ?
barely a week to go.....

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Who do you drop for him tho? Kouyate is a beast and very important to how we play. Can carry the ball well from defence to attack and then noble is a crowd favourite and play maker. I don't really fancy either in the "payet" roll so one has to go to make room for nordtvietcoyi27 wrote:Nordtveit is definitely starting.

I don't see tore starting as he hasn't played a single min of pre season where as ayew has for Swansea however Collins might be needed in this game to handle Costa as he is no nonsense defender. Personally I'd like to see Collins and ogbonna play together but would be very harsh on winsten
When we have a fully fit squad available it's going to be interesting to see who we play! Lanzini still to return.. However we do have the acon coming up which will wipe out ayew, fangeuli (sp) and kouyate so players like tore, Antonio, lanzini and nord will be so important to keep fit
Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Knowing Bilic and with Payet not fit to start:
Adrian
Antonio - Reid - Ogbonna - Masuaku
Nordtveit - Noble
Feghouli - Kouyaté - Ayew
Carroll

Nordveit Sitting behind Noble and Kouyate
Front three of Feghouli, Ayew and Carroll
Hope Payet and Tore make the bench
Save Bacca for the European game

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
^This. Be massively surprised if our three CMs aren't our most defensive ones. Breaking up Chelsea's momentum will be priority no. 1 and we'll likely have quite a lot of attacking options on the bench for later in the game.MD_HM wrote:Nordveit Sitting behind Noble and Kouyate

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
It won't happen because we won't just change formation without playing it in pre season I don't think.. But with wing backs we could seriously cause Chelsea some trouble
---------------Adrian
-----Reid ----Collins ---ogbonna
Antonio ----nord ---kouyate ---maurska
----------------noble
-------------Carroll -- ayew
Reid was signed originally by us to be a right back so him being on right side of the 3 works and ogbonna can play left back so him on the left.. Just seems to flow perfectly with ample cover for when iron mike goes on a defence splitting run

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Don't think Payet will start. I'd like to see Antonio and Ayew either side of Carroll. Power and pace....we'd bully the life out of them - however Billic will persist with Antonio at RB I'm sure. It will be something like this:
----------------------Adrian-----------------------
Antonio----Reid-----Ogbonna----New Guy
--------------------Nordveit----------------------
---------------Noble-----Kouyate---------------
Feghouli----------Carroll---------------Ayew
I'd play Antonio instead of Feghouli and Byram at right back myself. I'd also give serious consideration to Ginge at the back, fitness permitting. Save Payet for the second half.

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I believe in a month when Tore and Lanzini are back we'll line up as following.
----------------Adrian--------------
Antonio----Reid-----Ogbonna---Masuaku
----------Nordtveit-------Noble/Kouyate--
Feghouli------------Lanzini-----------Payet----
-------------------------Ayew-------------------
In the mean time I think we'll play Nordtveit, Noble and Kouyate something I'm not too keen on as the latter two struggle in possession game when one of them is placed ahead of holding two. Unsure if Ayew can stay disciplined defensively and play in Lanzini role but would prefer someone more savvy in possession in that advanced midfield role.

Bench: Randolph; Byram; Collins; Oxford: Payet: Valencia: Fletcher (or Obiang)
Payet will get the last 30-35.

I don't see him playing Antonio at right back for long.. I think we will either sign a right back or play bryam there. Rumours are iron mike doesn't want to play right back this seasoncoyi27 wrote:I believe in a month when Tore and Lanzini are back we'll line up as following.

Should be a belting atmosphere. I reckon we'll give them a run for their money but end up losing 2-1. Then everyone will panic and we'll tear Bournemouth a new ****hole and everything will be alright again.

I'm prepared to have a bet Valencia starts.
I reckon it'll be the exact team that played against Domzale. Same players, same formation.

More like the other way around just like arsenal and Bournemouth last year!Stepney wrote:Should be a belting atmosphere. I reckon we'll give them a run for their money but end up losing 2-1. Then everyone will panic and we'll tear Bournemouth a new ****hole and everything will be alright again.

Re: Chelsea vs West Ham Utd: match thread
With the caveat that I haven't seen him play there before, wouldn't Nortveit at RB seemingly solve two problems? The green-ness of our options there and the difficulty in fitting him Kouyate and Noble into midfield?
