ELPO: West Ham Utd 0-1 (agg 1-2) Astra Giurgiu (25/08/16)
25/08/2016 - 19:45 @ the London Stadium
My first game at the new stadium and I have some awesome seats in block 134.
Ridiculously excited about it and hoping that after a confidence boosting win in the PL for us this afternoon and a crushing 5-1 defeat for Astra against Cluj in the Romanian league we will smash them!

Re: West Ham Utd vs Astra Giugiu match thread
Can I just ask anyone on here....I have my own ST seat for this one so that will be preloaded I assume on my ST card. I also managed to get the seat next to me for my son this time and I'm assuming this will be a paper ticket posted to me? Haven't had anything arrive for him yet.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Astra Giugiu match thread
Interested to see the team we put out, of course injuries make it hard to guess, but here goes:
-----------------Randolph-------------------
Byram---Oxford---Ogbanna---Burke
-----------------Nordveit--------------------
-----------Kouyate---Obiang-------------
Antonio--------Calleri---------------Tore
Bench: Adrian, Collins, Reid, Noble, Payet, Fletcher, Valencia.
Of course, Noble might play, but he could certainly use a rest.
-----------------Randolph-------------------
Byram---Oxford---Ogbanna---Burke
-----------------Nordveit--------------------
-----------Kouyate---Obiang-------------
Antonio--------Calleri---------------Tore
Bench: Adrian, Collins, Reid, Noble, Payet, Fletcher, Valencia.
Of course, Noble might play, but he could certainly use a rest.

Looks like this is sold out now but no word of it being on TV yet. Hopefully BT will show it.

This is the team I'd play. I think Noble will probably play though. He could definitely use a rest here I think!HammerInMaryland wrote:Interested to see the team we put out, of course injuries make it hard to guess, but here goes:

They just got smashed 5-1, add a little bit of jet lag and a strong team from us and we should win this comfortably by 3 goals or more.

I'm only guessing but I reckon they must have changed their team? I'm sure they'll take our game a lot more serious than a league game because financially getting through in Europe is massive for them.DDHammer wrote:They just got smashed 5-1, add a little bit of jet lag and a strong team from us and we should win this comfortably by 3 goals or more.

That's about the team I'd play. Making sure Antonio got a rest ahead of Man City. Maybe even only use him for the last 25-30 minutes if he's needed.HammerInMaryland wrote: -----------------Randolph-------------------

Got to let Noble have a day off. Lanzini and Payet both looking likely to get a run out also.

Nope, think they only made 1 change which was at CB.EastleighHammer16 wrote: I'm only guessing but I reckon they must have changed their team? I'm sure they'll take our game a lot more serious than a league game because financially getting through in Europe is massive for them.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Astra Giurgiu match thread
I know this is probably wrong thread. Last time I came was the Juve match. I parked in Roman Road and walked across the canal. Relatively stress free as the other side of the main road (A12?). This was on a Sunday though. Any thoughts on parking for someone driving from the West Country. I don't mind paying, but detest traffic jams!
Always used to park in the Newham General car park.
Looking forward to the game. Also looking forward to seeing Calleri in the flesh. He looked the business, despite his miss. Would like to see Fletcher too. Haven't seen much but he looked like he understands when and where to run but didn't quite click with the others (just bedding-in?).

Thanks, but I would much rather a car park or parking meter.

Does anyone know if claret members will be issued with paper tickets for this fixture? I have yet to receieve paper tickets or a membership card!

Re: West Ham Utd vs Astra Giurgiu match thread
It's meant to be paper, although most of the queue on Sunday hadn't received any. We were due 2 tickets they send an email saying they'd been posted nothing turned up. So get there early.three_bridges_hammer wrote:Does anyone know if claret members will be issued with paper tickets for this fixture? I have yet to receieve paper tickets or a membership card!
