Enough of this ****. Let's learn to defend properly. Our World Cup winner in charge at the back, Obiang holding, start the season again.
3-0

Re: West Ham v Accrington Stanley match thread
With the way the season has gone we can't afford to play a load of kids in this game.
We just need to progress and gain some confidence both for the team and for the manager.
Zaza needs a goal, as does Fletcher and Callieri.
Apart from giving Oxford another start I'd pick our strongest side. I know it's been devalued over the last few years but I'd bloody love to see us win this cup.

Re: West Ham v Accrington Stanley match thread
This is going to be their cup final, the biggest game they have ever played, they will be well up for it,
man for man on paper we are miles ahead of them but they will have desire and this will be their one chance to show the world what they can do.
We need to be patient, cut out the stupid mistakes, we will be fitter, stronger and tactically superior to them but it will mean nothing if we cant stay disciplined
A 1-0 win is all we need, they have nothing to lose, there is no shame going out to a premiership side, so will give it everything they have, but we have everything to lose
Keep it tight, stay disciplined and our quality will see us through comfortably, just need a professional display and we are through to the next round

I'd go with that as well but got a horrible feeling Calleri's loan deal means he will play instead...Horsham wrote:Randolph

Re: West Ham v Accrington Stanley match thread
Lose this and Bilic will be in serious trouble, the media will start making a big thing about the mess we're in then and the clowns that run the club will start sounding off, making things ten times worse and putting even more pressure on Slav.
No mistakes, nothing stupid, no handballs, no Ginge messing about, just focus on beating a side that are mid table in the fourth tier, on paper that should be fairly straight forward, but we have previous with these!

Forgot about Fernandes.
I expect us to go pretty strong with number nine being the really big call - we've looked like we are playing without one since Carroll took a knock.

Zaza and Calleri, or Fletcher.
Have we not got anybody else apart from these who can play up front, coz none of them have got a goal in them ? What about that young Martinez ? And for the love of God, please let's not play Collins at the centre of defence

Yeah...I really do miss the old days when playing 2 up front was a given and it gave the opposition defence something to actually think about.

Re: West Ham v Accrington Stanley match thread
Of course they will as they have nothing to lose. They've already put out Burnley who didn't take the threat seriously enough. West Ham have made many cock ups over the years in this competition against teams like Mansfield, Stockport, Crewe etc. If Bilic can't find a team good enough to beat Accrington from the large squad available then the club are in serious trouble.Tristan Shout wrote:This is going to be their cup final, the biggest game they have ever played, they will be well up for it,
