all our most composed, disciplined and tidy players. triangles and link ups for days.
too much of a risk playing kouyate, antonio or adrian against a team who are designed to pick up any loose ball or sloppy pass and fly down to your end of the pitch as quickly as possible. treat the ball like it's made of glass.

2-2 with a bit of pride.
Nah, I'm just in my Happy Place. It's a beautiful place where we didn't make a mess of the transfer window, but instead built upon last season by getting in a proven striker. And now we have a solid group of old and new academy players to add a bit of identity to our new surroundingsPatito wrote:Are you still drunk?

Re: Crystal Palace v West Ham - Match Thread
Keep the same back 5 and Obiang playing. We were tight enough for the most of it against Boro.
Could do with Reid and Collins doing a job on Benteke. Every aerial ball into the box needs to be met with a Collins/Reid header and not a Benteke one.
We've won 3-1 there the last two seasons...time to make it three.

How about a low pressing game with
A flat four and then 2 + 2 + 2, no strikers

GK-Randolph
Left back-ogbonna
CB-Reid
CB-Collins
RB-Arbeloa
CDM-Obiang
LM-Antonio
RM-Feghouli
CAM-Payet
ST-Fletcher
ST-Zaza
as current fitness stands, pending on returns i would go with...
GK-Randolph
LB-cresswell
CB-Reid
CB-Ogbonna
RB-Arbeloa
CDM-Obiang
LM-Antonio
RM-Feghouli
CAM-Payet
ST-Fletcher
ST-Carroll
if fit carroll and cresswell simply have to come in we need their hunger in the team, cresswell and antonio on the same wing has the potential to cause palace all sorts of trouble
i dont predict scores as i feel its a bad omen
but for the sake of bilic we fail to win this and it has got to be cya later slav

Jinx already said, Sakho has been fit for months but is refusing to play

Re: Crystal Palace v West Ham - Match Thread
Regarding Sakho, Bilic keeps mentioning him in and saying he is working on fitness and will be considered when fit
Is this simply a smokescreen to mask the fact that he doesn't want to play for us (allegedly), and this charade will be kept up by Bilic and the club until the January transfer window?
Or does Bilic genuinely still believe Sakho is an option moving forward?

Re: Crystal Palace v West Ham - Match Thread
So our start has terrible this season, but I would still put our squad, in most positions, over theirs anyday.
As it stands, with no further injuries over the international break (please God look after dimi and antonio) I think the only change he'll make is Feghouli for Tore. Being away from home might suit the formation and playing style more, and I also hope Fletcher makes more of an appearance, particularly if Jinxed's info on Sakho is true.

It'll be nice to see Cresswell and Carroll back for this one (if that turns out to be true). Maybe we'll only lose this game by the odd goal now instead of getting hammered.

You and me, both.
Re: Crystal Palace v West Ham - Match Thread
If Carroll nor Cresswell are back, there is no way we beat Palace away with the same team that could only draw with boro last week.

You either haven't been a fan of this club for very long or have a very short memoryrsnwhu wrote: there is no way we beat Palace away with the same team that could only draw with boro last week.
Re: Crystal Palace v West Ham - Match Thread
Just saw Cresswell in Starbucks, Loughton - heard him saying he should be back for Palace and that Carroll is not far off and may also be back for this game so fingers crossed.Stepney wrote:It'll be nice to see Cresswell and Carroll back for this one (if that turns out to be true).
