Can't wait for the first proper London derby at the OS. This is the sort of game that could really kickstart our season, no pressure, not expected to win. Go out there, get stuck in and take it to them with no fear.

My favourite type of match. Midweek, cup and London derby. It shall be interesting to see how the London Stadium measures up on nights like this. This lot have overtaken Spurs as my most hated so I am really looking forward to this.

Yep, really looking forward to this one. It doesn't feel like we have had a proper fixture at the new ground to get us buzzing, I hope this is the game that livens the place up a bit.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Given how well Conte knows Zaza's game, it should make the decision even easier to give him the night off.
Give Lanzini a rest by letting Fernandes start in the middle - he can come on for 30 at the end if we need him.

NK Domzale, Astra Girurgiu, Bournemouth, Watford, Accrington Stanley, Southampton, Middlesborough, Sunderland.
Not really games that get the juices flowing, whether they would have been played at Upton Park or at The OS.
Chelsea under the lights in midweek in the cup, no excuses. It will be what we make it.

Anyone else not received their tickets yet?

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
I've come to the conclusion that cheaper tickets for cup matches simply means we'll be playing mostly a B team and we're not really interested. We'll still give them a game but on the basis that there is no shame in getting knocked out to Chelsea.
I'm expecting quite a few of the fringe players to play. Ayew may get a run-out for 20 mins for fitness sake. I'm not even sure they will risk Cresswell or Adrian and keep them fit for Everton instead.
I'm expecting something along the lines of:
Randolph
Arbeloa, Collins, Oxford, Fernandes,
Feghouli, Noble, Nordveit, Lanzini
Fletcher, Calleri

Also depends on how many of those on any waiting list have purchase history with the club seeing as that's the sales parameters at the moment.frankiemac wrote:cannot believe how many tickets are left for this one??

----------------------Randolph
Arbeloa---Kouyate--- Reid---Ogbonna
-------------Obiang----Fernandes
Feghouli----------Payet----------Lanzini
--------------------Fletcher
Give Noble, Adrian & Antonio a rest as keeping them fresh for the weekend. I'd like to keep the 3 CB's as they worked great' but lack of FB's made me want to give Fernandes a go in his true position. Fletcher could be the answer upfront so give the kid (21) a chance.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Anyone know if they are keeping away fans in at end? Saw more scuffles sat in the usual area Saturday, that's every home game thus far be in a different level Wednesday I fear
Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Just so you all know...
There will be a physical barrier in place on Wednesday night where the away fans come out of the ground, most likely some sort of herras fencing or hoarding.
There will be no access for home fans to the rear end of the Sir Trev that leads down the staircase and out past the car parks.....proper nuisance for me as I head towards the Roman Road whenever it's a mid week or Sunday game.
Chelsea fans will not be kept in after as it is a 'breach of human rights'

Just had an email from a mate, one of those friend of a friend who is a friend of the father of an under 21 player type messages so make of it what you will.... he reckons that several development players expect to play Wednesday with first team players given a rest. I bloody well hope it is crap.

I can't think why this hasn't been put in place already.morganwhu wrote:Just so you all know...

When we were away at Man City, they just had a metal fence with a few stewards and police lined up against it from the turnstiles out to the coaches and about a 30m gap of no-man's land before another metal fence and stewards/police on the City side. There was no chance of getting close to any City fans before you got to the road where there were more police milling around.

It only sounded like a temporary measure to meironstu wrote:I can't think why this hasn't been put in place already.

Can you walk through the concourse from Bobby Moore Lower to the West Stand?
No barriers inside is there?

I think you can until you get to the corporate seats in the middle.
At that stage you need to go out into the stand and walk around the inside.
I know this because my mate was sitting in the east but there was a few seats near me free in block 212 so he walked all the way around the ground.
