We do the same - I assume they'll wait for us to disperse then slowly walk them round to Stratford around the loop? Making the Greenway inaccessible for anyone on the south or east of the stadium?morganwhu wrote:There will be no access for home fans to the rear end of the Sir Trev that leads down the staircase and out past the car parks.....proper nuisance for me as I head towards the Roman Road....

With cresswell back we've all bar the striker got out best available side. With us behind the team I can't see any reason why we can't put in a performance to be proud of.

The only problem is we might not play our 'best available side'. I hope we do, don't get me wrong, but I won't hold my breath.Georgee Paris wrote:With cresswell back we've all bar the striker got out best available side. 361 again Slav and keep the continuity going with this formation within the side so they keep getting more familiar with it. Especially against a Chelsea side we need to make sure we flood the midfield and control it more in the middle.
I'm expecting a really good game with no holds barred football.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
whats everyones feeling on crowd size - could really do with a full house making a load of noise for 90 mins
last time I saw a prediction it was for 40k but surely 2 wins must have boosted that ?

Three changes for me:
Fletcher, Feghiuli, Cresswell in.
Zaza, Lanzini, Antonio out.
Need a little bit of rotation, and Reghouli and Fletcher have both looked decent.
Calleri, Lanzini, zaza, Arbeloa, Collins, oxford and Randolph on the bench.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Are we going to be able to get to pudding mill lane afterwards?
Don't get why we can't keep the away fans until 30 mins after final whistle should be standard practice

Or upgrade one of the many +2 kids tickets to Adult. I know many people that have done that and were not asked to provide the names of the people taking the seats.likemydreams wrote:Nowhere near a full house the club have seen ti that by asking for previous purchase history and one ticket per number

http://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2016 ... -Cup-fixtu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Ahead of the game, home and away supporters will mix freely around the stadium, however
it is important for supporters to note that there will be post-match segregation.
A cordon will be in place either side of turnstile D (away turnstile) and all away supporters
will egress via the south steps towards Pudding Mill Lane Station. The corridor from turnstile
D to the south steps will be closed to home supporters for around 30 minutes during peak
egress.
Due to the post-match segregation, home supporters exiting podium level via turnstiles C, B
and A will need to turn right on exit and walk clockwise around the stadium. Home
supporters exiting podium level via turnstiles E, F and G will need to turn left on exit and
walk anti-clockwise around the stadium.
We strongly advise supporters to listen out on the night as any changes to the plans for
exiting the Stadium will be communicated during the match via the tannoy system, and to
always follow stewards’ instructions to ensure a safe and swift exit.
Due to this process, access to the blue badge car park for disabled supporters will be
delayed immediately after the game. Supporters parked in the blue badge car park should
gather adjacent to turnstiles C and E and will be escorted to the car park once peak egress
has subsided.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
We don't score goals
They do
We have started to secure our defences
They have Luiz, but we still don't score goals
We are likely not to field our best 11
Neither are they - but hey.....having Willian and Batshite coming on as subs at the weekend!!!
We will play some good stuff - we always focus a little better in matches like this.
We lose by the single goal!

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Sensible from WHU to release a statement ahead of the game on Wednesday, slightly frustrating that it has taken them this long to work out that the away end is poorly positioned for getting away after the game, hence why scuffles have broken out each week so far.
In my opinion, keeping away fans in probably isn't the solution either.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
We're trying to do that and can't. Really frustrating. Club want a membership number but everyone we know with one is going. Tried using my sisters, but she hasn't been in a few years so they won't accept it.Pulls up Trees wrote:Or upgrade one of the many +2 kids tickets to Adult. We're considering letting someone just skive in with a kids one, but I have a feeling they'll be a bit more on it on Wednesday.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: match thread
Why is there a suggestion that we won't field our strongest team?
Anything but our best XI would be a disgrace, the two cups are the only chance we have of winning something
Cresswell coming in is the only change I'd expect unless due to injury
Looks like they have banned booze from the mobile bars tomorrow so this should encourage everyone to stay in pubs as long as possible getting extra drink then having a last minute rush to all get in the stadium at the same time with the Chelsea fans!
I would have thought it would have been easier to police people drinking outside the stadium personally...
