Ayew and Sakho are our only quality strikers, 6 games a season AC is pointless. No good blaming the defence, Adrian kept us in the game, if we have a blunt strike force we will struggle, the stats speak for themselves

I for one enjoyed the day out in Liverpool despite the defeat. Journey through to the ground was utterly seamless and as I was walking down to Goodison Park, it was obvious that I was going to a proper, old school football ground.

Everton fans really take it for granted. It's true, you don't know what you've got until you've lost it. I was row N near the back of the Upper Bullens, it's a shame we were split up but what a racket we made from start to finish. Considering how long Everton have had to get their act together since all-seating they have had an absolute mare. Do any sections of their crowd stand up throughout? Didn't look that way to me.

On to the game. We were sloppier than the **** that greeted me in the bogs at HT. Fatigue from Chelsea obviously played a huge part in our misplaced passes and the rest.

Payet really poor, worst game in a West Ham shirt. His free-kicks aren't even going right at the moment. Despite this, he probably wasn't the worst player on the pitch.

Obiang wasn't great, but can't be expected to keep playing blinders week in week out.

We need to bring in some fresh faces for Stoke and get Antonio back on the wing where he belongs. Ayew and Sofiane in.

Zaza as much use as a trapdoor on a lifeboat. :thdn:

FWIW I think Reid played yet another blinder. Quickly becoming our MVP.

Confident that we can pick up 3 points against Stoke. We weren't that bad today, matched them for 45 mins. Get a week's rest and some fresh legs in the team and we'll be fine.

We started well, perhaps too well in that we were running around rather quickly playing a high intensity game. I wondered at the time how long we could keep it up given the only change from the midweek game was the goalkeeper. I thought we'd run out of steam after an hour, it looked more like twenty minutes.

Perhaps Slav thought by starting at a sprint we'd score first and then rely on hitting them on the break, but you'd need a reliable goalscorer for that to be a realistic tactic.

I would have forgave him had he acknowledged it before the first goal but he only made a sub until after we were a goal down. Too little to late for this one unfortunately.

Not at our best today which was a shame as those that were up at dawn to get up to Merseyside for the lunchtime Ko deserved better .Luckily the roads up there were empty, sadly a different story on the way back .

I thought we had a decent first half, controlling the game but made the classic error of not scoring while on top .The problem being of course, even if we were still playing I doubt we'd have scored .We had chances, enough of them to win , had we scored first , but once they got their first, and the fact it was scored by Lukaku , heads dropped, fatigue set in and the game was up .

I wouldn't disagree too much with most of the negative comments on a few of our players so no point repeating them, but I would give some praise to one of theirs, Barry , for being a good neat and tidy player on the day .A good pro who has delivered for every Manager who has picked him .A fat Michael Carrick if you will .

One huge issue today was not getting players into their box , time and again we would be in possession in the final third, and not have a single player in the box .

Still, at 0-1 down I thought we could have nicked a draw, but their second killed it .We weren't rubbish , but we were a little sluggish, overall though I felt that had we started with a striker anything like as good as Lukaku or Benteke we'd have left with three points .

Fine margins , but we can now add Everton to the list of teams we won't catch now this season .We will need to play well to finish 10th from here on in .

I've been to Goodison before but I was in the back of the lower tier for the first time today and it has not just wooden seats but timber terracing, now that's old school! Goodison has to be one of my favourite Premiership grounds these days.

Atmosphere wise, it's been one of the worst grounds I've been to each time I've been there except the away fans. The lower tier of that two-tiered stand behind the goal stands up for the "big" games I think but they had nothing today.

I thought we played really well first 30 minutes, even Payet played quite well during this period, really don't know what was up with him in the second half, possibly the worst I've seem him play.

Obviously as others have said the striker situation is majorly hindering us. I just hope Ayew gets better as he regains his fitness because I can't see a glut of goals coming any time soon from Zaza.

More than matched them in the 1st half, but once
Lewkahkew did his usual party piece we looked done in.

Well pissed off that the neanderthal man i.e. Ross "average" Barklay scored.

Cathy Barry should have gone, he gets dirtier with each passing year.

Payet's worst game for us, not just his free kicks & passing, but he was a lazy unt as well.

After sitting on the fence for too long I have decided that whatever the question is, Zaza is not the answer.

**** traffic on the M6 hasn't helped the mood.

Effectively Chelsea 'rested' those players in midweek. If we had rested a few players we would have been fitter today, but we probably would have lost on Weds and be out of the cup instead.
It didn't really work for Chelsea when they lost to us. Depends on priorities and I guess Bilic was working on building team-understanding and confidence so didn't want to change things much. He's probably also thinking that the cups are our only chance of winning anything this season too.

One stupid kick in the first half aside it was his best performance for a long long time. It wasn't so much the saves that impressed me because I know he's good at those, it was the way he was plucking the ball out of the air from crosses. Let's hope this is the end of his flapping

Difficult to add to what others have written. Has there ever been a player who has a run of scoring against us like Lukaku?

I've noticed this of late in his game too, especially today. Woods is having a really good influence on him I reckon in training. It's not usually his best attritubutes normally and his one weakness he can always improve on like at the moment he is doing. Shot stopping like you say, is right up there with the best in the League.

Just got back. Despite the result I still really enjoyed the game. First time at Goodison. What an atmosphere from our lot! Best one I've been in for ages. Everyone was piled close together and it just felt like a proper atmosphere. As for the game, I thought first half we were decent. Two guilt-edged chances which on another day would've gone in. Sometimes it's just not your day. At half time I felt like we would be punished for missing those two chances. Furthermore, Lukaku hadn't scored yet so it was nailed on that he would in the second half. And that he did. 2-0 flattered them I think as we played some pretty good stuff in the second half. I can only think that we might have run out of steam after our exertions on Wednesday. Overall I was pleased with the performance. As I say, on another day (like last year up there) the chances would've gone in. I still think we looked pretty well balanced today and feel that we will tear Stoke a new ****hole next week.
There was a lady sitting next to me who was at her first ever football match. I think she enjoyed it. I said "welcome to the West Ham family". I also told her not to get disheartened by the result as with football, as in life, you often don't get what you deserve."
I think 1-1 would've been a fair result today. But looking back over the last week I would've taken a last minute winner against Sunderland and a win over the rentboys if it meant losing today. The atmosphere today more than made up for the result. I was just looking around at times today thinking "what a special set of fans we have" Top drawer.

West Ham till I die

Not a bad first half but so dispiriting that when the going gets tough, after they scored, that rather than raise our game we just seem to stagnate or go backwards ... this is an alarming pattern we've seen a few times this season already. Someone has to grab this team up when things go wrong, right now I've got no idea who that is, the obvious player is Noble but he seems only able to motivate himself ... any ideas?

You have a club that is run by asset strippers, fielding a couple players that maybe, would look good on a Sunday morning on Hackney Marshes and you cannot see the problems.
How long have you been supporting West ham??
Answer these simple questions
1. Why does David Sullivan have such a high profile?
2. Who the hell thought Zaza was a footballer???
3. Who bought him?
4. Who bought all of the the players in the last transfer window?
Refer to question 1.
5. Reese Oxford? You can sit on the West Ham bench for £10.000 a week or sit on the Man. City bench for £50.000 a week. You do the maths.
6. If they are old enough then they are good enough. What happened to the reserve /development squad?
7. 10 games in and still no recognised forward.
8. Everton away. Please, please man mark Lukaku. Collins?
Why would you want to man mark Lukaku?
****ing simple, he scores every time he plays against us.
9. A stadium is sold for development and you then rent another??? Please someone explain the logic there.
I have been a supporter since the late 1950's and I am sorry to say this but you are ****ed.
Before you slag me off just check out Lady Bradys' cv and the Sullivan connection at LBC.She was given an honorary degree in 2010 after being rejected for a journalism course at Harlow College much earlier.
David Sullivan and Lady Bradys' dad are "mates". Her dad printed all of Sullivans **** mags. Does nepotism spring to mind?
2 porn merchants and a Lady with no proven managerial skills running a Premier League football club and you are not worried?
Oh I am sorry Birmingham City have flying sooo high.

Answer these simple questions
1. Why does David Sullivan have such a high profile? Because he is a successful business man?
2. Who the hell thought Zaza was a footballer??? Evidently a lot of people as I suspect he earns a good deal more than you or I. Scouts and Coaches at Atlanta, Sassuolo and Juventus to name a few clubs. He has also represented his Nation at various youth levels and top national team. (Doesn't mean he's any good but he is obviously talented as a footballer.)
3. Who bought him?West ham united football club loaned him... but Bilic keeps playing him so it doesn't matter does it, if he didn't want him he doesn't have to pick him?
4. Who bought all of the the players in the last transfer window? Who purchased Antonio? Refer back to my answer of question 3
Refer to question 1.
5. Reese Oxford? You can sit on the West Ham bench for £10.000 a week or sit on the Man. City bench for £50.000 a week. You do the maths.Whilst it does perplex me that hes not being loaned out or given first team football if money is his only motivator then be my guest to join man city and add to the list of west ham "grads"
6. If they are old enough then they are good enough. What happened to the reserve /development squad?
There is a poster on here from the youth setup, if you care to go read you can get updates on the teams. There is also a post on loan players and reports which is well worth the read.
7. 10 games in and still no recognised forward.
Zaza is a recognized forward, so is Fletcher and Calleri... doesn't mean they are any good however Ayew is a good signing and was injured or is that the owners fault too?
8. Everton away. Please, please man mark Lukaku. Collins?
Why would you want to man mark Lukaku?
****ing simple, he scores every time he plays against us.
Football isn't that simple, theres eleven players on each team so every player can man mark someone... simple???
9. A stadium is sold for development and you then rent another??? Please someone explain the logic there.
There are plus and negatives to both sides, im not going to debate the OS move as that's been done to death but financially if you cant see the benefits then you are a either being deliberately dense or are genuinely one of the thickest people ive seen post.

As for the above what does it matter, in the past we've have biscuit barons and all sorts that ran the club into debt debt debt. Now im not saying I like or want the current board but as one of few realists on this forum I can appreciate that they have stabilized the club and given us a good platform to build on.

even if they are business men looking to line their pocket with gold then the main principal of being a successful business is making money. In football this is all about winning things and brand exposure, you get big deals by being a bigger brand. To be a bigger brand you need more competitions and to do well in those. The last two seasons we have had a short but still existent cameo in Europe. When was the last time before the barons we had that?

As it was post number 2 of yours im not sure if you are just someone else from the forum on a troll or not and if not you are entitled to your own opinions but if you are going to use questions atleast make sure the answers support your argument.
