Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
Any point in 3 CBs against 1 up top? Hardly likely to go direct to Bony, are they?
Must avoid getting overrun in the middle.
IIRC, Payet never played against this lot last year (both games) and Lanzini certainly missed the home match.

The owners wouldn't sign Adam cos his ins had gone. Playing well for Stoke tonight! Sort of striker we could have done with for less than we paid in summer. Bet he scores against us.

Arnautovic just got a completely undeserved yellow card and is now out for our game.
Shaqiri went off injured too.

How was that a foul? Ref couldn't of been better placed. Good for us but a shocking decision.Aztec Hammer wrote:Arnautovic just got a completely undeserved yellow card and is now out for our game.

We're gona smash 'em. I have to work so can't make this one which means we will definitely smash 'em 3-0, 4-1, something like that....

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
A striker buoyed by scoring a brace against his old club up against our defence. Forgive me, but at this moment I don't fancy our chances much. On the other hand...it'd be so 'West Ham' to turn them over.
Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
Arnautovic suspended & possibly Shaqiri injured have deffo improved our chances. Would anyone rap Billic if he tried a 4-4-2 at home & we lost, or could the 2 up top breed goals & confidence.

We should be glad Bony scored tonight, he's no longer on a goal drought.

Ostensibly no, and it's a point I've banged on about many times in the past, however we've been making it work recently and it's all about Kouyate stepping into midfield and making the extra man. That's the key.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
Think it's time to try 2 up top
Drop Lanzini or Noble
Adrian
Reid Kouyate Ogbonna
Antonio Obiang Lanzini/Noble Cresswell
Payet
Fletcher/Calleri Zaza
I'd drop noble and play Fletcher and Zaza

You wouldn't consider Ayew over the Bald bearded Italian Titi Camara who to be fair was equally bald ?Lostcoco wrote:Think it's time to try 2 up top

Don't think he's fully match fit to start but i would bring him on as a sub at 60 mins defoJLCABA wrote:

Reason for Zaza as everyone is saying he works better with a strike partner
